We were walking and I was telling Charlotte all about the constellations and she was telling me more about her life on the Ark before she was arrested. I didn't realise how far we had gone out before I could say another word I hear a crunch making me stop.

"What? What is it?" Charlotte says and I just bring my finger up to my mouth motioning for her to be quiet.

I heard another footstep making me grab Charlotte and dragging her behind the nearest tree. I made her stand behind me as I guarded her body with mine, I could hear the footsteps getting closer, there were multiple.

I could feel Charlotte start to breath heavily knowing she was probably scared right now but I gave her a reassuring look over my shoulder. I wait for the footsteps to come closer and once they got to where I was, I jumped out pulling my knife up to the persons neck pining them up against the tree.

"Sapphire?" Bellamy says holding his axe up to my throat too making me sigh as I stepped back.

"What the hell is wrong with you? I could've killed you."

"Same goes slick. Who the hell is this?"

"Charlotte." Charlotte says semi-confidently looking at Bellamy, he doesn't say anything as he turns back to look at me.

"Why aren't you two at camp?"

"Didn't know I had to report to you my every single movement. I'll jot it down for next time." I sarcastically said as I looked at him making him give me a deadpanned look, I hear another set of footsteps turning to see Atom.

"We all good over here?"

"Yeah it is."

"There's Grounders out here, it's too dangerous for a little girl." Atom comments coming up to us and I give him a look.

"Well then I guess you gotta run off back to camp." I said making him glare at me, but I just rolled my eyes.

"I'm not little or scared." Charlotte says speaking up for herself coming to stand beside me, a new found of confidence coming from her.

"it's dark, it's best for you two to stick with us."

"I'd rather not spend anymore time standing here. Let's go Charlotte."

"Wait Ace, I don't want to go back to camp. Please." She says looking at me giving me a small pout to convince me to let her stay, I just sighed heavily.

"Whatever, but I'm not leaving you."

"Ace?" Bellamy says raising his eyebrow at my nickname before Atom snickers beside him, "Cute nickname."

"When you're on the verge of death tonight, don't come crying for me to help you." I said giving him a fake smile making him stare at me with a smug expression before turning his eyes to Charlotte handing her a knife.

"Ever killed something before?" He asked as the girl took the knife from him, she finds a way to hold it before gripping it in her fist as she shakes her head at the question, "Who knows? Maybe you're good at it. Right Ace?"

"Keep talking Blake and you'll be added to the list." I hissed out at him making his stupid smug expression come back to his face.

We moved away from where we were standing and continued to walk through the forest, Charlotte and I were walking behind the boys in our own conversation. As Charlotte was talking to me I felt an uneasy feeling like we were being watched.

"What's wrong?" Charlotte says looking at me noticing my face, I take a scan around seeing nothing out of the ordinary before looking at her pulling a smile on my face.
