"You're a monster."
I gasped as I sat up fast opening up my eyes and seeing it was blurry where I was looking, I could feel my heart clenching in my chest. The words from last night engraved into my brain making it hard to ever get it out, adding it to the list of nightmares I already had.
"Sapphire, you're okay. It's okay." I hear not being able to see, it sounded muffled before my eyes landed on a silhouette of a body in front of me. It begins to finally clear and I see Bellamy sitting in front of me, I tried to breathe.
"I-I-,"
"Shh, it's okay. In and out. Follow me." He says calmly looking at me as I felt my hand shaking trying to follow what he was doing. He picks up my hand bringing it to his chest making me feel his heartbeat, "Slowly, in and out."
I take another crack at it and feeling his heart beating under my palm makes me somewhat calm down as I sat in front of him. I could feel my breathing getting back to normal slowly, Bellamy watching me carefully before I looked at him.
"Sorry."
"It's okay, don't be sorry. You okay?"
"I am, thank you." I said giving him a soft smile as I left my hand on his chest and he puts his hand over mine. I looked into his eyes seeing him staring right at me, the butterflies coming and the nausea that kicked in worsening but only because it was Bellamy.
"Good morning." I hear making me bring my hand off Bellamy's chest as he lets go of my hand seeing Clarke standing not too far from us.
"Morning, we should get going." Bellamy says clearing his throat and I do the same as I stand up with him following suit. He gives me another look before walking off and I turned my head away looking to Clarke who had a small smirk on her face but doesn't say anything.
We packed up what we had bought and what we were taking from the bunker, Bellamy packs up the guns into blankets. He managed to put them all in and throws it over his shoulder, I offered to carry some but he declined.
Soon we made our way back to camp, neither one of us saying anything much on the way back. I was walking in front with Bellamy and every so often our hands would brush up against one another sending me into turmoil.
It wasn't that long of a walk to camp, we stopped a few times to catch our breathes before heading to camp. We were getting closer and I could hear campers moving around, we walked into camp with everyone doing what they were doing.
"He's gone! The grounders gone!" Miller's voice rings through the small area as we stepped in, nobody noticing we were here just yet.
I looked over to Bellamy who tensed up not because he's gone but because we both knew he would've had help. Bellamy looks at me confirming my thoughts making me give him a reassuring nod.
"What if he brings other grounders back? He'll kill us all." Someone in the crowd says making everyone panic.
"Or worse." Another chimes in making everyone's stress levels heighten at the words, frantic words being thrown all around before Bellamy steps into the middle making everyone look to see we were back.
"Let the grounders come. We've been afraid for far too long, and why? Because of their knives and spears. I don't know about you, but I'm tired of being afraid." Bellamy says before glancing at me making me smile lightly looking at him.
He then drops the blanket on the floor unwrapping itself to everyone drooling at the guns in front of their faces. I looked between everyone to see everyone was having mixed emotions, some lightened up at the sight and others did not.
