Chapter 2: Prison

Standing in front of her, towering over her...was Bowser.

Kathryn blinked a few times and shook her head to try and clear her vision. When she looked back, the giant koopa king was still there. She swallowed hard, suddenly feeling nervous.

"Well, well, well. What have we here?" He said

"P-Please..." Kathryn choked out

Bowser got in closer, examining the frightened girl. When he got close enough, Kathryn spat in his eye. Peach gasped as Bowser roared and whiped his eye.

"Take her to Peach's room and lock her there!" He ordered

The ones behind her then grabbed Kathryn by the arms and put the bag back over her head, blinding her once more. They forced her to stand and began leading her to a new room.

When they got there, they forced Kathryn onto the cold, hard floor before chaining her to something and leaving. Kathryn quickly shook the bag off of her head and looked around.

The room she was in was kind of small. She was chained to a large pink bed that had curtains on it. There was all kinds of white furniture sprinkled around the room, and there was a single window that revealed the night sky.

Looking at the sky made her think of her family back in Phoenix. Did they miss her? Did they think she was...

Kathryn shook her head and frowned. She had been planning on leaving her house at an age like this anyway. Many people didn't know this, but she was the only one in her family that she knew to sling mud at herself. She always told herself that she was useless to her family, that she didn't matter, that she was a monster. Her family was too blind to see the truth, that none of what she did was for attention anymore, so she started planning on running away. She didn't want to be a burden to her family anymore...

Her thoughts were cut off as someone came into the room. Kathryn looked over to see the first lady of gaming herself: Princess Peach. Her pink dress was a little dirty, her hair was ruffled, and she looked all hot and sweaty. Kathryn felt really sorry for her. Was this what she went through every time Bowser got a hold of her?

"H-Hello..." She said quietly

Kathryn just turned away. With all that just happened, she really wasn't in the mood to talk. Peach went over to the brunette and sat down in front of her.

"What's your name?" She asked

Kathryn stayed silent for a few seconds before answering

"Kathryn Thomas" She said flatly, without raising her head

"It's nice to meet you" Said Peach

Kathryn didn't answer. Because of thinking about her family, she was in a seriously bad mood. She wanted to just lock herself somewhere private and do something like listen to music to calm herself down. However, because she didn't have that kind of access, she started to get a little aggressive.

For the first few minutes in that room, the two women were silent. Nothing was said, and neither of them moved an inch. After 5 or so minutes, Kathryn started to move her arms apart in a futile attempt to get the vines undone. No matter how hard she tried, the stupid plant wouldn't budge, which made her start trying to get away from the bed. This got Peach's attention, as she figured Kathryn was trying to leave. When that didn't work, Kathryn started to panic by screaming at the top of her lungs. This was reason enough for peach to jump into action.

Before Kathryn could continue screaming, Peach grabbed a hold of her and pulled the poor brunette into a warm hug. Kathryn, becoming startled by this, stopped screaming completely. She was confused at first, but soon enough, her fear took over and she started sobbing into Peach's chest.

"Shhh, shhh, it's okay...we'll be okay..." Peach said, comfortingly

Kathryn couldn't stop at that point. The dam had burst and there was no way of sealing it. She cried like that for nearly 10 minutes, all while Peach was stroking Kathryn's short hair. Kathryn had never really been kidnapped before, so this was really scary for her.

"I...I want outta here" She said between sobs

"I know, I know. Don't worry, someone will come for us soon, I promise" Peach said to try and comfort the frightened teenager

Eventually, Kathryn stopped crying, though it was purely because she was very tired. Peach continued to stroke her hair, trying to keep her from having another mental breakdown. She felt sorry for the brunette in her arms. Her first time being kidnapped, especially by bowser, she broke down like that too, and she didn't get any comfort until Mario arrived to save her. Kathryn tiredly tried to hug Peach before she remembered the stupid vines. She sighed and closed her eyes.

Peach simply chuckled. This was very much like de ja vu for the princess in pink. Kathryn looked so unnatually scared. She knew that the brunette came from Leah's world, but how?

Not ten minutes later, the door to the room was opened and...
