Chapter Five

After the news of Lydia's death, I decided to take a shower and go out a bit to search the city for a newer, better permanent home. Before I had poisoned Lydia's soup, I had a laptop at my apartment running through the companies account, sending money to her account. Then I had the money from her account, $10.5 million, sent to my private account under a different name. I then deposited it all out, hiding some of it in the apartment, a little in my account and the rest divided into the two private accounts.

For my next plan, I would need a more powerful job position and an luxury home. It was simple for me. Just hack into a companies data information, employ myself as one of their employees, a top one to be exact, get my name out, throw a lavish party at my new home, and get more people to notice Nicole Taylor.

Then, go after Xavier Sterning. Smith Corps. lawyer. He was the one who had filed a lawsuit, and bankruptcy on Smith Corp. after my dad's death. He took half of everything. It was part of him and Kevin's plan. People would think dad killed himself and his family because of this. That he left the debt and everything to Kevin. I remember when it came out of the paper, when Stacy had found me, a week later.

"Hello, beautiful" Stacy says, as she walks into the living room where I had slept for the past week.

I remove the blanket over myself and look at her. She's in a red night grown, her hair, curly and messy. She has no make up on this morning. She looks prettier without it.

"Morning." I say, sitting up. She smiles and heads to the kitchen.

"Do you want breakfast here or dine out-"

"Here!" I say possible to fast and nervous. I look at her from the couch. She's just looking at me curiously. She nods and I look away. All I hear are pans being moved and things cracking.

"Lizzy." She calls out ten minutes later. It also makes me freeze at the name.

'Ed'

"Lizzy?" She says again, this time she's behind me and she touches my shoulder softly. I jump away from the contact and end up falling to the ground.

"Oh! Are you okay? I'm sorry! I didn't mean to scare you!"

I back away from her to the wall across the couch. I hug my legs to myself.

"Please, don't call me that. Don't ever call me that." I say horsely.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know." she says sadly.

'Its not her fault. She didn't know'

"It's fine. I'm sorry." I say. She looks at me worried and walks away to the kitchen. I follow her and at the table are three dishes with bacon, eggs, toast and hash browns.

"Jackie will be here in a minute. She just went for a jog and to read the paper." Stacy says when she catches me looking at the third sit. I nod.

"Do you want to talk?" Stacy asks later as we're eating.

I shake my head, she begins again but the slamming of the front door saves me. It also scares me and sends a bad vibe inside my body. I manage to calm down a bit when a sweaty and smelly Jackie emerges from around the corner.
