Chapter 5

Virgil's POV

The rest of the night went as normal. We sat on Patton's bed and talked and made jokes, Patton sprinkling I asked many dad jokes as he could.

"I'm surprised we never talked until today, we've only been friends for one day yet we're talking like we've known each other for years!" Roman said, falling back onto the bed.

Patton laughed and took a cookie from the plate. "I guess it was fate! Speaking of which," he turned to me "Are you excited for your first day of class on Monday, Virgil?"

"Not really.... Pretty anxious to be honest." I was curled up in a ball, my head on my knees.

Patton frowned and rested a reassuring hand on my shoulder "It'll be alright, Virgil. The people here are nice!"

Logan sighed, "Patton don't lie to him."

Patton gave him a worried look "Logan...."

Logan looked up from the book he was reading "What? Not all people in this school are nice, Patton. In fact some of them are-"

"Alright guys!" Roman ran between them. "Let's..... Play a game or something."

Patton looked at Roman in confusion "What game? I don't have any board games in my house." Roman sat there in thought for a minute, before his face turned into a mischievous grin.

"I have a perfect idea! Does anyone want to play...... Truth or dare?"

"Patton jumped up "Oooooh yeah! I have a few questions and dares to ask Virgil" he looked at me and I looked away, covering my blush with my hand. Logan put down the book he was reading, bookmarking the page. "That sounds ideal. Virgil, what are your thoughts?"

My grip tightened on my legs and I sighed "I don't know, guys..... I'd rather not have my secrets revealed or have to do something I'd rather not do."

Patton laughed "Oh come on, Virgil! It'll be fun!" He leaned in to my ear and whispered "And i'm sure you'll have a fun time with Roman~"

I pushed Patton away and he laughed. "O-okay fine! Just..... Don't ask anything too personal." "Yay!!" Patton smiled at me and and winked. I blushed and started walking to the floor.

We all sat in a circle in the middle of Patton's floor. We decided to let Patton go first. I held my breath, not wanted to know what Patton was planning.

"Hmm....... Logan! Truth or dare?"

Logan looked at Patton surprised. "Huh? I thought you were gonna pick Virgil or something." Patton laughed "Not yet! I'm waiting until later to dare him." He did a quick glance towards me then looked back at Logan. " So, truth or dare?"

Logan thought for a moment. "....Truth"

"Do you know how amazing and special you are?"

Logan was taken aback, blush starting to form on his cheeks.

"W-what? P-Patton, you can't ask that."

"Why not? Do you have self esteem issues? Here, let me give you a hug!-"

"N-no, that's not the case..."

"Then why can't I?"

"Well.... Um...." Logan sighed. "Yes.... I do know how amazing and special I am..." He turned to Roman, blush still visible. "Roman, truth or dare?"

Roman laughed "Well, since i'm not a wimp like Logan, I choose dare!" Logan glared at Roman, who was smiling. Logan thought for a moment.

"Hmm..."

"Oh come on, Logan! I'll do any dare you tell me to do! I'm a big boy, not a kid!"

Logan laughed "I dare you to switch clothes and makeup with Virgil."

"Not a big enough boy for that!"

-Time skip-

"Your outfit is too big for me!"

"Well it's not my fault you're small- Ow! You poked me in the eye!"

"I wouldn't have done that if you could just stay still while I put on the mascara!"

We were in the bathroom. I was desperately trying to put my mascara on Roman. I carefully winged the mascara and sighed.

"Okay I think that's the best I can get it. Let's go show the others"

I walked up the stairs, my skirt flopping as I walked. Roman chuckled under his breath. I glared at him and he quickly stopped. When we reached Patton's door, I called into the room nervously.

"Patton! Logan! We're ready!"

"Yay! I can't wait to see this!" Patton pulled out his phone. Roman walked into the room angrily and I quietly followed. When he saw us, he burst out laughing.

"Oh my god! You guys look SO CUTE!" Patton exclaimed, taking pictures.

"Alright, alright" Roman covered the camera with his hand. "Can you guys finish up so I can go and change?"

Logan smirked "oh, you won't be changing any time soon."

I looked over at Logan "what?"

Logan crossed his legs and picked up his book "I won't let you."

"I'll get you back for this!" Roman angrily sat down in the circle.

"Logan. Patton. Kiss. Now."

"But-"

"Who cares? Just do it!"

~Time Skip~

We spent the rest of the day playing truth or dare and laughing at each other. The only con was that Patton and Logan didn't kiss.

We were in the middle of a conversation when Patton spoke, his voice clearly tired. Hey guys, what time is it?" He asked, yawning.

I looked at my phone and gasped "it's 1 am!"

"That isn't too late." Logan said.

"That's only because you stay up all night working on projects!" I joked.

"Well, we better get going then." Logan started to get up, but Patton stopped him, grabbing his arm. Logan blushed and looked away.

"You cannot leave this late! What if you get attacked?"

"We won't get attacked, Patton. This neighborhood is completely safe."

"But what if you do? Here, you can spend the night with me"

Logan looked at Patton unsure "Really? But your parents-"

"They won't be back for a while, it'll be fine!"

"Are you sure Patton?"

"Yeah!"

"W-well okay then..."

"Yay!" Patton jumped up, looking around his room for pillows and blankets. "This is gonna be the best sleepover EVER!!!"
