Shaming Rant

    Now I'm normal pretty happy and hate anger, but for once I would like to rant.Hopefully this doesn't bother anyone 😊

    I'm just really tired of listening to my family shame people for everything from tattoos to gender EVERY. SINGLE. TIME we have a gathering.

   I finally mentioned something about it today (because I'm completely and totally sick of it) and they all acted like I've lost my mind. (To be fair I never back-talk against anyone but still) They said, "They are entitled to their own opinions and that it's not shaming since the person isn't there. I'm just so high-strung and such a special snowflake, I wouldn't know the difference"

      How on earth am I ever going to tell them I identify as Aro/Ace????

      After they yelled at me for awhile, they proceeded to say pronouns are dumb and to shame a college for having you put what you identify as...

     I guess since most of the internet is accepting, I forgot that most of the "real world" isn't

    Most of the stuff they say is cruel even if they don't mean to. My Dad was telling a story about how his friend ripped his sons new earring out just because he was a boy. Apparently he still has a split ear to this day!

     Am I just being too sensitive or is that really cruel?

     I don't know... I'm just really sick of people shaming issues/ people I care about and me sitting by doing nothing

    I'm sorry about the lack of positivity in this chapter.... I'm just kinda frustrated and have no one else to talk to.
