Chapter 8

(Y/n) POV

After a few hours, we went out of the manga café. It stopped raining, and it was sunny again.

We stood outside the manga café. "Well... The date was fun." I smiled at him.

"Yeah."

I hugged Kaneki and went home. I took my shoes off like always and went to my room.

I threw myself on the bed and chuckled like an idiot. If someone saw me like this, they would probably think there's something wrong with me.

I was hesitating to text Hikari about the date, but she was my best friend after all, so I took up my phone and texted her.

"Hey Hikari. My date with Kaneki went... WAY better than I expected!"

"Ooh?! Tell me all about it! What did you guys do?!"

"We went to the manga café like you suggested, and we were reading manga and had a good time."

"Are you sure you didn't do anything else?"

"I don't feel like I need to tell you that..."

"NOW YOU JUST MADE ME CURIOUS!"

"Fine! We did lewd stuff in a manga café!"

"HOLY SH- Wait, for real!?"

"Jeez... Yes!"

"Congratulations I'm losing your virginity then!"

"Can we end this conversation?"

"NOT YET! Who started doing the lewd stuff? You or Kaneki?"

"..."

"Come onnnn! Tell me!"

"It was me. There. Conversation ended."

"I'm proud of you -w-"

"What did I just say?"

"Fineee. Thank you for telling me all that, though. And remember, you can tell me anything!"

"Haha I know. Bye"

I turned my phone off and put it under my pillow. I couldn't stop thinking about Kaneki. Jeez, I really wanted to see him as soon as possible...

Four Days Later

Kaneki wasn't picking up his phone or answering my texts. Did I do something wrong? Think, (Y/n)!!

I went to Anteiku to check if he was still working. Kaneki was nowhere to be seen.

I walked up to Touka.

"Excuse me... Touka, right? I was wondering if you know where Kaneki is?"

She answered me with a simple "No.".

Mr. Yoshimura walked out of the Staff only room. "Touka. This is (Y/n). Kaneki's girlfriend. I think I forgot to tell you. She knows that he is a ghoul."

Touka's eyes widened. "WHAT?! That idiot... how could he tell a human about that?! I told him that I will kill her if she found out!"

I stepped away a little bit.

"Touka, (Y/n) is important to Kaneki. And, I'm sure that she won't tell anyone about this."

"How can you be so su-"

"I'll never tell anyone! I promise! Please tell me where Kaneki is!"

Everyone went silent for a little while. Finally, Touka spoke. "He's been kidnapped."

My eyes widened. That small sentence made my heart beat a lot faster. I felt like I lost him.

Mr, Yoshimura put his hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry, (Y/n). We're already planning a rescue mission."

"Rescue mission...? So you know who kidnapped him and where they are keeping him?"

He nodded. "After he has been kidnapped, I asked Touka to follow them without them knowing. We know the exact location to where he is now."

I felt a little bit relieved, but... that didn't mean he was back yet.

I looked at Touka. "Um... Can i... Go and help you save him?"

"Are you stupid? You're a human. You will die."

"I don't care! I want to go anyway! I'll do anything for Kaneki's sake!"

"Fine. But I can't guarantee that you will survive there."

I will save Kaneki... no matter what...
