Joshs pov.
I hear Layla yell and I run up the stairs.
When I get to hear room I hear her talking.
"Emma I'm sad because of him" Layla says.
What?
"What" Emma says. "Emma seeing him with Brooke made me realize how I feel Emma I love him" She says.
She..she loves me.
"Omg Layla why didn't you tell him this" Emma asks. "Cause I was stupid and didn't want it to ruin our friendship and besides he moved on and I'm nothing to him now I'm just a dumb first kiss and his friend" Layla says.
No no she's not just a dumb first kiss I'm not even with Brooke she kissed me oh no no she can't think this.
I almost reach for the door when Emma comes out. I freeze. "Josh" she whispers/ yells.
She pulls me away. "What did u hear" she asks. "I..I..i" I can't say anything. "Josh answer me." She says. "I..I love her I'm not with Brooke I tried to move on I thought she didn't like me Emma I love her I care about her I don't want her to feel this way I need to let her know this" I say. I see her jaw is dropped. "Josh you need to let her know this" she says. "But she'll think I'm just trying to make her happy" I say.
"Josh you need to tell her now go" she says. I groan and walk to her door. I knock. "Come in" She says. I open the door. "Dad before you ask I'm fine it's noth..." she stops when she sees me. "Josh" she whispers.
"Layla how are you doing" I ask. I see her smile but I can tell it's fake. "I'm fine" she says. "Layla talk to me" I say and it on her bed. "It's just why Brooke" she ask and sits up. "I'm not with Brooke she just kissed me and kept following me I couldn't do anything" I say. "Oh" she says. I sigh and run my hand through my hair. "Layla..I love you and I truly do and I never want to hurt you your so beautiful and my best friend I never want to lose you, your way to good for this world and..and.." I get cut off by her. "Josh" I hear her say. I look behind me and see her eyes watering. "Layla no no please don't cry" I say and crawl to her. "Josh I don't want to lose you" she says. I wrap my arms around her. "I know I know" I say. I feel her cry into my chest. "N..never leave me" She says. I kiss her forehead. "I won't" I say. I bring her to my lap and bring a blanket around us. I feel her hug me tightly. After a few minutes she stops crying. "Josh" she says. I look down at her. I was going to answer but I got lost in her eyes. I lean in and close my eyes she does the same. I feel her lips brush again mine. "Layla I'm home" I hear her dad say. I feel her hug me tightly. I lay down with her. I hug her tightly and put my head into her shoulder. "Layla...Layla..Layla are u up" her dad says through the door. I hear the door open. I hear him sigh. I hear the door close again. "Josh I don't wanna move" she whispers. I nod and hug her tightly. I feel her wrap her legs around me. I smile and kiss her head. "I love you Josh" she says. "I love you too" I say. I slowly drift off to sleep.
