I wake up to Layla talking. I don't open my eye and just listen. "Layla he seems like a good kid" I hear her dad say. "He is dad he wouldn't hurt me" she says. I try not to smile so I
Just put my face into her neck. "I hope so hun, I have to get work now I hope you stay safe today" he says. "I will dad" Layla says. I hear him walk out. I smile and kiss her shoulder. "You didn't have to act asleep" she says. "I know but I wanted to hear what you said about me" I say. I feel her turn towards me. "I love you" she says and puts her hand on my cheek. "I love you too" I say.
I feel her lips go to mine. I kiss her back. I pull away. "Layla" I say. "What" she says and puts her foreheads to mine. "I'll pick you up at 7 tonight so be ready" I say. I hear her giggle. "Will do But where are we going" She ask. "It's a surprise" I say. And kiss her nose. "Your so sweet" she says. "I know" I say.....
I walk through my front door and see Jen run to me. "I see your feel much better" I say. "Yeah" she says. "Where's mom" I ask. "She's in her room she's been there for a while since she got home" she says. I nod and walk to her door. "Mom" I say and knock on her door. I walk in to see her crying. "Mom what's wrong" I ask. "Your father...he's ..he's dead" she says. I freeze. I walk out of her room with out a word. I go to my room and lock my door. Feel my phone vibrate. I just ignore it. I lay down on my bed and just stay there. I feel my phone going crazy. I ignore it. I hear the door belle ring. I hear the door open. I just stay there looking at my fan. I hear my door open. Damn it Conner has a key. I hear Conner,Steve,Jim,and Colin come in. "Dude why didn't you answer anyone" Conner ask. I hear the front door open. "Layla Conner said not to let you here" I hear Emma say. I just look at my fan. I hear Layla come in. "Josh" she says. I don't say anything. I sit up and close my eyes. "Dude what's wrong" Conner ask. I don't say anything. I open my eyes and they meet Layla. I see her worried as hell. "Josh" she says. I feel a tear roll down my face. "Woah woah dude are u crying" Colin ask. "M..my father died" I say. I feel the room go silent.
"What" I hear Jen say. I close my eyes and don't say anything. I hear her start to cry. "Oh Jen come here" I hear Emma say.
I squeeze my hands into fist. I hear the door close. I scream. "Fuck" I say and punch my bed frame. I feel someone hug me tightly from behind. "Let me go..let me go..Conner I need to go fucking kill the guy that did this let me go" I scream. I hear crying. Suddenly my heart drops. "P..please don't..don't hurt your self..I don't want to see you hurt please please I don't want to lose you" I hear Layla say. I sit There while she hugs me. I turn around and bring her to my lap. I hug her. And I I kiss her shoulder. "I'm not going any where please don't cry" I say. I hear her sniffle.
I smile.
"Josh I don't want to go on a date Tonight I just want to stay here and cuddle" she says. I smile. "Okay" I say.
We lay down and I feel her lay her head on my chest. I smile and rub her back....
