Grumbo Oneshots

Lazy Day

Mumbo woke up and looked over at Grian, who was sleeping peacefully beside him. They'd been together for 2 years, and Mumbo was quite proud about how far they've come together as a couple, they were already living together in an apartment and had even adopted a dog and a cat.

Smiling, Mumbo stood up from the bed and made his way to the bathroom to freshen up a bit. Afterwards, he walked into the kitchen. They had nothing planned for the day, so he was in no hurry to prepare breakfast.

A few minutes later, Grian walked into the kitchen. "What are you making?" he asked, rubbing his eyes.

"Just omelets and sausages," Mumbo responded, grabbing two plates from an overhead cupboard, and placing an omelet on each one along with a few sausages.

As they ate, they had a conversation about their current jobs and co-workers, and if they liked their working environments. Mumbo was an electrical engineer and Grian was an architect.

"So, what do you wanna do now?" Grian asked as he washed the last dirty dish in their sink.

"How about a walk in the park? The temperature seems nice right now," Mumbo suggested.

"That seems perfect," Grian beamed. He's always loved going to parks and seeing all of the animals there, it was interesting and peaceful to him.

Since the park wasn't far away, they decided to walk. The temperature was nice and warm, but there was a slight breeze, which made the walk feel pleasant.

The park was so full of life. There were bright green trees lining the walking path, and birds' chirps, filled the air. The playground was full of happy children playing with each other, laughing, and having a great time. Grian smiled. He's always had a soft spot for children and had been thinking that, maybe sometime in the future, he and Mumbo would adopt. It might seem to early to think about kids due to the current length of their relationship, but Grian knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Mumbo. He knew that he was the one. It was just a matter of time before they looked to adopt.

Grian looked up at Mumbo, only to find that he was also smiling. He squeezed Mumbo's hand, which brought the taller man's attention down to Grian. "I can't wait for the future."
