venus blaney!
right now i was on a date with daniel, we were at the park. "daniell give it back!" i whined when he took my bowl of watermelon. "it's my favorite food venus! you can't just not let me have any." i roll my eyes, "daniel. i packed two extra bowls for you! you ate both of them in five minutes which isn't my fault." we were going strong and corbyn wasn't even on my mind.
well.
for the most part. it's kinda hard to not think of him when i live in the same house as him. "venus um can i say something?" he looks me in the eyes as he speaks, "of course you can daniel." he nervously smiles before taking my hand in his, "venus i love you." my eyes go wide, "what? no no you don't." now he's frowning, "what? yes i do. venus i think i know how i feel and it's fine if you don't feel the same way."
I stand up, "daniel you don't love me. you can't." now he's standing, i can tell he's upset. "what do you mean 'i can't'?" i can tell he's about to cry, "daniel you can't love me. no one does. why do you think I've only ever had one boyfriend? why do you think I never talk about him? he's the reason why I'm here in la."
"what's that mean?" i start walking away, him following right behind me. "I lived in New York. I loved it there, i had friends, i had a boyfriend that is until he cheated on me with one of my friends. i was heartbroken so i went to break up with him but he didn't like that. he told me it was a mistake so I stayed with him for another month. he cheated on me again but this time he laughed, told me he never loved me. said no one loved me."
"venus... i had no idea." then he hugged me which made me cry. "hey let's head back home okay?" we get in the car, daniel holding my hand the whole time. we get back to the house and i immediately go upstairs to Jonah's room. "hey hey venus, what's going on?"
"i told him about eli. he told me he loved me so i told him." i sit on his bed, him sitting on his office chair. "venus..."
Jonah knows how hard it is to talk about Eli, he was my first love and i could really picture a future with him. "hey get some sleep v. I'll be downstairs."
he kisses my forehead before leaving the room, shutting the door behind him. and that's why jonah is my best friend in the entire world.
