I quickly dodged as a sword swung at me. I pushed him back and did a backwards flip and landed on my feet. I pulled out my own sword and blocked his next attack.
"I don't want to hurt you!" He yelled as I pushed him back.
"Well that's to bad, because I want to hurt you!" I yelled as I brought my sword down.
He quickly dodged and the fighting continued. I was able to knock his sword out of his hand and throw him to the ground. He looked up at me and I watched as he took off his helmet. In front of me was a boy around my age with brown chestnut hair and blue eyes.
"Please.... I'm your best friend." He said softly.
"Max?" I asked shocked.
Freeze!
Sorry, I'm getting ahead of myself. This is a few months to early. How about we back track.... to let's say..... four months earlier. When I wasn't a crazy psychotic lunatic he'll bent on murdering Max Steel.
Copper Canyon has been my home for the past sixteen years. I was born and raised here, my mother having died giving birth to me I was raised by my father, Miles Dread. Yea, the same Miles Dread that everyone knows as a villain and murderer, but we can't choice our family. The story doesn't begin at my birth though, it begins sixteen years later, when I'm a teenager.
Ring!
I heard the bell go off and I quickly opened the door to the school.
"Crap!" I yelled as I ran down the hallway.
I pushed past a kid and rushed to my first class.
"Hey!"
"Watch it!" Voices yelled.
"Sorry!" I yelled as I pushed past them.
I rushed through the door and let out a sigh of relief when I saw that my teacher hadn't made it yet.
"Almost didn't make it in time." My best friend said with a laugh as I set beside her.
"Shut up Syd." I said with a smile as I put my notebook on my desk and opened it.
"So guess what, there is a new guy." Syd said happily.
"Don't tell me you've already got a crush on him." I said with a laugh.
"Shut up." She said as she hit my shoulder.
"Was that an attack?" A voice asked.
"No, it was a friendly punch. Syd isn't a threat." I thought calmly.
Soon Dr. Thornhill came in with a guy in a white and grey shirt with jeans. He had short brown chestnut hair with light blue eyes.
"Everyone Meet Maxwell McGrath." Dr. Thornhill said calmly.
"He is cute." I whispered as I sent Syd a wink.
She rolled her eyes and then I turned to look back at the front. I saw Maxwell look around and I smiled as I motioned for him to sit in the seat beside me.
"Max." He said as he set down.
"Raven." I said with a smile.
He sent me a smile and we both looked towards the front to listen to the teacher. When school was over I made my way outside and let out a groan when I saw a limo.
"Wow." Max said softly.
"My uncle's. Looks like I gotta go, see you losers tomorrow." I said as I waved to them.
Syd sent me a smile and then Kirby sent me a thumbs up. I climbed into the car and let out a sigh as my eyes landed on Jason Naught.
"How was school?" He asked with a smirk.
I looked out the window and he let out a chuckle.
"Not going to answer me? Alright..... be that way." He said as he crossed his legs and leaned back.
The car soon stopped and I waited for the door to open. I went to climb out, but he roughly grabbed my hand. I turned to look at him to see a frown on his face.
"Just because your father owns the building means nothing, if you step out of line...... no one will ever find you." He said as I pulled my hand away.
"That was a threat." The voice said.
"Don't, it's just Naught being a jerk, He is to scared of Dread to harm me." I thought quickly.
I climbed out of the limo and let out a sigh as I walked inside and made it to my room. I plopped down on my bed and let out a groan as I buried my face in my pillow.
"That went well." A voice said.
I turned my head and smiled as I saw a purple ultralink.
"Tinker..... how many times am I going to have to tell you, that we don't attack people when I'm not in the suit?" I asked as I sent her a smile.
Tinker looked away and I let out a laugh.
"I am still confused why we can't attack Naught." She said with a pout.
"Because Dread will kill me if I do. He has already got on me once because you threatened Naught's life." I said as she floated towards me.
"He threatened to break everybody in your body, it was self-defense." She said as she looked away.
"Even so.... calm down. I know when I'm in danger, and I hope you trust me to tell you." I said as I sent her a smile.
"I do trust you, but I also don't want you hurt." She said softly.
I shook my head and sent her a smile as I stood up and went to change clothes.
"So wanna have a movie night?" I asked calmly.
"Can we watch that detective show?"
"Sure." I said as I left the room to get everything ready.
I watched as she plopped down on the couch and I grabbed some pizza and chips.
Ring! Ring!
I quickly pulled out my phone and saw Naught's picture come up.
"Hello." I said softly.
"I need you at the base. I believe I've found a turbo source.... another turbo user." He said calmly.
"Do you actually need me?"
"Yes, come now!" He ordered.
"Yes sir." I said softly.
I let out a sigh and hung up.
"Movie night is going to have to take a quick break. Naught needs us." I said as I walked into the living room.
"He always ruins our lives." She whined.
"Come on, let's go TURBO!" I yelled.
She linked with me and my clothes changed to a black suit.
"Let's take to the sky's." I said with a smirk.
Wings appeared on my back and I hit a button to open a hole in the ceiling. I shot out of it and made my way to the base.
