When I saw the roof open I flew inside and landed in front of Naught. My helmet disappeared and I saw a frown on his face.
"Sorry it took me so long, traffic was horrible." I said with a smirk.
"Enough jokes. The Turbo reading is gone." He growled out.
"Guess Dread wasn't so happy about that." I said calmly.
"No, he wasn't. I want you to help hem work on a way to find that reading."
"Does Dread want me to do that?"
"Dread wants that reading and there for he wants you to help... now help!" He yelled as he pushed past me.
I let out a sigh and got to work.
"Looks like we are in for a long night." Tinker said softly.
"I don't expect to get much sleep." I thought as I walked to the computer.
I tried to pinpoint where the signal had originally came from, but found nothing. After searching for three hours I decided to take a break and get some caffeine.
"How much longer will we be forced to do this?" Tinker asked with a groan.
"I don't know, hopefully not long, I have school tomorrow."
I opened my coke can and quickly chugged it before going back to the computer.
"You should go home." A voice said.
I turned to see one of the scientists looking at me with a small smile.
"I'll be fine, have you guys found anything?" I asked as I turned my hair to face him.
"Nothing, but you really need rest. Tomorrow afternoon you are scheduled for a TURBO extraction."
"I'll live.... and that always knocks me out so I will get plenty of sleep."
"If you say so." He said as he went back to work.
It wasn't long before I had to leave and go to school.
"Lets go TURBO Speed." I said as I stood up.
My suit changed to a black skin tight suit with spikes on the back of my knees. I sped out of the room and rushed home. After changing into a pair of jeans and a purple blouse, I put my hair in a bun and left for school. I made it to school and it wasn't long before the day was over and I started to look for Syd. I smiled as I saw Syd talking to Max. I walked up to them and put my arm around Max's shoulder.
"How's it hangin new guy?" I asked with a smile.
"She always going to call me new guy?" Max asked as he looked at Syd.
"Always." She said with a laugh.
"You guys flirting? I didn't ruin a moment right?" I asked as I moved away from Max.
"Flirting? Us? No, why would we- I? Um... we-"
"I'm just messing with you McGrath. Anyway I gotta go... hey you guys free tonight?" I asked with a smile.
"Yea." Syd said softly.
"Yea I'm free." Max said with a smile.
"Good cause I'm not, you two should hang out. See ya later love birds!" I called as I walked away.
"Did she just-"
"Yes I just asked you on a date for Syd!" I yelled as I walked outside.
"Gotta love her. See you later Maxwell McGrath, hey Raven hold up!" Syd yelled as she chased me.
I laughed as we walked outside and she sent me a smile.
"You are horrible." She said as we walked down the street.
"Aren't I always?" I asked playfully.
I stopped when I saw a limo pull up and the window roll down to reveal Naught.
"Get in." He ordered.
"Gotta go Syd, see you tomorrow." I said as I opened the door and climbed in.
The car started down the street towards THI and I let out a sigh. We soon pulled in and made our way to one of the secret labs.
"You know the drill." Naught said calmly.
I climbed onto the table and moved my hands above my head. I heard a click and felt the cuffs go around my wrists and legs. I closed my eyes and waited for it to start.
"This won't hurt..... well it won't hurt me." Naught said with a laugh.
I closed my eyes and held my breath as he turned it on. I let out a scream as I felt the energy leave my body. I could feel all of my energy disappearing and I slowly felt my eyes start to droop as I felt myself pass out. When I next woke up I was still tied to the table.
"Sir we can't keep draining all of her energy...... it's killing her." A voice said.
"I don't care, I need more TURBO Energy and she is my only source right now."
"She needs more breaks... we can't keep pushing her like th-"
"I don't care! I need TURBO Energy!"
I turned my head to see Dread yelling at a scientist. When I saw him turn I quickly shut my eyes and listened into him.
"I will check back with you later, make sure to get me the turbo I need." Dread said as he walked out of the room.
I heard the scientist let out a sigh as he left the room leaving me alone. I set up and stretched before getting off the table. Tinker soon flew up in front of me and I sent her a small smile.
"How do you feel?" Tinker asked softly.
"Sore..... but alive." I said softly.
"You're awake." A voice said.
I turned to see the scientist from earlier. I sent him a smile and he walked over to the computer.
"Mind if I take your vitals?"
"Go right ahead." I said as I plopped down in the seat in front of him.
"You are use to this I guess." He said softly.
"My whole life..... but it's worth it..... I'm helping my dad." I said softly.
He nodded his head and finished checking me.
"Alright you are free to go." He said calmly.
"Did you ever find where the reading was coming from?"
"Yea, some kid. We have him here now."
I nodded my head and walked out of the room.
