We soon arrived at N-Tek and Dread was locked into a cell. I let out a sigh as I was taken to a room and Max handed me some food
"Uncle Ferrus thought you might be hungry." He said softly.
"Thank you.... Max.... I am so sorry... I thought that Dread was my father... and.... I thought he loved me." I said softly.
"It's alright.... you know the truth now... and that's all that matters." He said softly.
"You heard the conversation.... did... did Forge?"
"Yes..... we all did." He said softly.
"Does Berto know that I'm Blackbird?"
"Yea.... He was a little mad that you went and stole things when you were suppose to call him." He said with a laugh.
"Does anyone hate me?"
"No, I think you made up for it by helping us catch Dread." He said as he sent me a smile.
"Thanks..... did not giving up on me."
"You're like my sister..... annoying, rude..... load-"
"I get it, can you get to the point?" I asked with a laugh.
"- but no matter what I'll never give up on you." He said as he sent me a smile.
I shook my head and let out a sigh.
"So what now?"
"I don't know." He said softly.
After we ate he took me to the meeting room and I held my breath as I saw Berto talking to Forge and Molly. His eyes soon landed on me and they went wide. Both Forge and Molly turned to look at me, but before they could say something he had pushed through them.
"Thank god you are safe! You had me so worried!" Berto yelled as he pulled me into a hug.
"Sorry." I said as I hugged him back.
"I swear if I had known that this relationship would of been this stressful I would of asked for a manual." He said softly.
I let out a laugh and pulled away from him.
"Sorry but I don't have a manual." I said calmly.
"I'm glad you are safe." Molly said softly.
"I am so sorry... I... I had no idea that Dread was lying to me..."
"How could you, he lied to a lot of people.... and he took you at a young age.... there was no way of knowing." She said softly.
"He.... He said the he killed my mother..... is that true?" I asked softly.
"No, time I let you all in on a little secret." Forge said as he stepped towards me.
We walked through the hallway towards a big door that was heavily guarded.
"Sixteen years ago, a few months before the incident with the turbo star.... I got a call to get home and to bring some soldiers.... I arrived with Jim and Molly and five other soldiers.... when we arrived the place was trashed." He said as we went through the door.
"Yea mom told me about that and then you found her with no pulse." Max said softly.
"That wasn't the truth. We found her unconscious..... but alive.... we quickly rushed her to the base and to a doctor, but she was in a coma." He said softly.
"So she is alive." I asked softly.
"Yes, but in a coma.... I didn't realize that you weren't home until Jim called me and said he couldn't find you anywhere.... I didn't think that Dread could of had you..... because no one but us three knew about you."
"But Dread found out when he went to the house to kidnap mom." I said softly.
"Yes, we think we can wake her now that you are here. We need Turbo Energy." He explained.
"Just tell us what to do." Max said calmly.
We made it to a room and stopped to see a woman hooked up to a machine. She had light brown hair and her eyes where closed.
"This machine will take your turbo energy, but not enough to kill you... just make you week."
"I'm use to it..... just know this isn't going to be pleasant." I said as I looked at max.
He nodded his head and we both got hooked up to the machine. I held my breath as Berto turned it on. I felt the energy slowly start to drain from me and I heard Max let out a groan.
"This... is.... a...lot more.... painful.... then... you let on!" Max gasped out.
I nodded my head and shut my eyes. Soon the machine stopped and I looked over at the woman. I held my breath as I waited for any sign of her waking up. When I heard a groan I stood up and rushed to her side. I watched as her eyes slowly open to reveal light blue eyes.
"Raven?" She asked weakly.
"Hi mom." I said as tears streamed down my face.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and smiled as she looked behind me.
"Forge?..... you got a old." She said with a small smile.
"Sixteen years and the first thing you say is you got old..... somethings never change." He said with a laugh.
"It's been sixteen years?" She asked softly.
"You've been asleep for awhile." I said softly.
"Dread!"
"Is in a cell..... and you are safe.... we all are." Forge said softly.
"I couldn't.... I tried so hard to protect you... but he... he drained my turbo energy." She said as tears streamed down her face.
"It's not your fault mom..... and besides... you gave dad a reason to play hero... and Max too." I said with a small smile.
She sent me a smile and I whipped my eyes.
"I missed you." I said softly.
"I missed you too." She said as she squeezed my hand.
I smiled as she pulled me into a hug and held me tightly.
It wouldn't be long before Makino attacked Cooper Canyon and me and Max where forced to stop him with the help of Steel and his father, who we learned was Makino's prisoner. Max would continue being Cooper Canyon's hero and I would be his sidekick, Green Lightning, when he needed me as for me and Berto..... well we have a lot to deal with, it's not easy raising a five year old boy with turbo powers.
