Annie POV
It's a day before my birthday and I was called into work, the warehouse, at 6:00 in the morning. apparently, things have gotten out of hand since they don't have a leader there 24/7. I really should make someone second in command, so when I'm gone, things don't go to hell.
I've lived with Mikasa for almost two months now, I haven't regretted anything. It's amazing to be able to wake up to the love of your life. We've also been having a lot more date nights, they usually range from getting coffee to having a fancy dinner.
Before I left the house, I placed a quick kiss on Mikasa's lips.
"What was that for?" She said, a blush spreading across her cheeks.
"What? Am I not allowed to kiss my girlfriend now?" Before she could answer, Levi, honked the horn to his truck.
"How about we talk about this tonight. It seems someones getting impatient." Mikasa said, placing a kiss on my cheek.
"Alright, see you tonight." I walked out the door and headed towards Levi's truck. The entire drive to the warehouse was silent, he didn't even tell me why I had to go in.
We arrived at the warehouse, I still don't know why I have to here. When we walked up to the door, I knocked two times. Usually, the door is answered right away but today was different. After a couple of minutes have passed, Levi spoke up.
"You may want to knock again. And maybe harder." He said, smirking at the end. He must have an inside joke with himself.
I knocked again, waited a few more minutes before Levi got impatient. He shoved me out of the way and kicked the door down. He just strolled right into the warehouse as if nothing had happened.
hesitantly trailing behind him, I looked around and noticed everything everywhere. Gas canisters were on the floor instead of on the table, 3DMG boxes were scattered everywhere. There were things even in my office that weren't supposed to be there.
"So this is what happens when they don't have their leader here."
"No shit. Why do you think your father was here 24/7?" I sat behind my desk and let out a sigh. What am I going to do? It's not like I can drop school to work in a gang. I thought to myself.
"Maybe you should have a second in command? That way you don't have to drop out of school." Levi told, interrupting my thoughts.
"Can you get me all the resumes of the commanders and section commanders, please?" I asked. He nodded, turning away and exiting the door.
When Levi left the room, I turned on the computer at my desk and went to the real estate website I have saved. The time it took me to purchase all of the buildings, Levi had come back with all the resumes.
"Thanks, Levi." He nodded his head. "Is yours in here too. I know you don't have an official rank with the scouts but I would like to take a look at yours too."
"Yeah, it's in there." Is all he said before leaving my office.
--Time skip--
I've been looking through resumes for the past couple of hours and my eyes hurt. I leaned back in my chair and stretched my arms. Right then my phone started ringing. I looked at the caller ID, it's Mikasa.
"Hey, babe, hows school going?" I heard her chuckle on the other end of the line. "What's so funny?"
"Nothing, it's just I never imagined you having to say that."
"Well, you might want to get used to it. I finally figured out why my father was here 24/7." I said, standing up and grabbing my jacket. It's around noon so I'll just stop in at the school to say hi.
