Chapter 9

Jacey's POV

I walked into the music room where the girls were already at. I havent seen them since Friday and now the three of them seemed like friends.

"Whats going on here? When did you three start being friends?" I ask.

"On Friday I help both Veronica and Cheryl out with stuff and we all got together and talked. We texted you, but you said you were busy with Toni." Betty says.

"I was we had a girls weekend. Whats it to you?" I question.

"Dont be a bitch Jacey." Cheryl says.

"Look we can all be friends if we try." Betty says.

"Do you want to be my friend or try to hop into bed with my brother." I say.

"Woah. Jacey what is your deal? Betty was being nice and your being mean. You know we actually took the time to get to know one another and are now kinda friends. Maybe if you wernt so rude and pushing everyone away you would know that." Veronica says.

"Hey! Dont act like you know me or want to be my friend. You know what! I quit!" I yell and just rushed out.

Betty's POV

I wasnt trying to make Jacey mad at me I actually do want to be her friend just like I wanted to be friends with the others. Jacey couldnt quit what was with her.

"Betty dont take what Jacey said personal." Veronica says.

"Im not. She cant quit though. I gotta find her." I say.

"Im going with you." Cheryl says.

"Really?" I ask.

"Yeah. You might need some help with her." She says.

"Well you two go. Im gonna work on the outfits more." Veronica says.

Cheryl and I left Veronica and we didnt see Jacey anywhere. Though we did see Jughead and Toni so we went over to them.

"Hey have you seen Jacey?" I ask.

"Wasnt she with you guys?" Toni asks.

"No she got mad that we are all getting along. Betty said something about being her friend and she went off and quit." Cheryl says.

"God its happening again. Toni lets go find Jacey." Jughead says.

"We'll help." Betty says.

"Yeah. Betty why dont you go to Jughead and I'll go with Toni." Cheryl says.

"Good idea whoever sees her first wont seem to be ambushed. Come on Betty." Jughead says.

I followed him as Cheryl went the other way with Toni. Jughead looked very worry about something.

"Jug? What did you mean when you said it was happening again?" I ask.

"Not my place to say. All I can say is that Jacey doesnt truth anyone who isnt a serpent. Toni doesnt even know the whole story. Look you cant push her Betty. Something happened to her that made her put up this wall. Only my parents and I know what happened and we cant talk about it. Jacey hasnt told anyone what happened and I dont think she ever will. No matter how close you could get to her she will never let you or anyone else in." Jughead says.

"Well I wont push her. I just think that maybe its time to be friends." I say.

"Betty she wont be your friend cause you arent a serpent, but quitting isnt Jacey's thing which means something is wrong." He says.

I didnt know what that meant and I was worried even if she doesnt believe me I really do want to be her friend. Just look at what this does to her brother how can she be okay with hurting her own brother.

Cheryl's POV

Toni and I went looking for Jacey and she was clearly worried about her friend.

"Toni is everything okay?" I ask.

"Jacey doesnt take a liking to non serpents. Although she says I will never understand the friend thing. I dont know what that means." Toni says.

"I thought you two were close." I say.

"We are. Though when it comes to this even she hides she wont tell me. I dont push her because she gets will like this and runs off. I just want her to be okay and realize that she can trust me." She says.

Jacey is making her best friend feel so down how can she be okay with hurting her best friend.
