Far From Home (Viperion X Reader)

Chapter Six

A/N: I am planning on posting as many chapters as I can now. Because I won't be having enough time in the next one month? Maybe. Final exams and all so, tough time. Wish me luck. 👍😚.

"Wow! Paris is beautiful! Isn't it, Percy?" We're outside Master Fu's place. Viperon and me. He nudges me.
"C'mon. I got a whole city to show you."
"Don't touch me!" I screech. I really want to cover my mouth with my hands. I don't usually sound like that. What is wrong with me?
"Whoa! What's up with you?" I set Percy down as we walk along a few blocks. I put my left palm against the other elbow and I sigh, trying not to cry.
"You know, you could have just told me you were the one who put a note at my house because you wanted me to come with you to Paris. I might have followed you in a heartbeat. I-I " I notice the tears welling up in my eyes. I look around me. "I have always dreamed of coming here."
         He sighs and shrugs. "But you seemed so ready to fight me. And don't make it sound like I brought you here on a date." I try hard not to roll my eyes. "You are needed here and I am just a messenger."  He pauses and I can tell he's looking at me. "Why didn't you ever just come here since it's your dream city?" He is sarcastic about that last bit. I sigh.
"I have a whole life back there and with the type of job I do, I'll never get a vacation. Plus, there's school and -"
"Wait! School?" He seems surprised. This time, I look at him. That's when I notice people giving me weird looks.
"Duh! How old do you think I am? Twenty?" I laugh.
"Um actually, yes." I give a blank look and it's his turn to laugh.
"I'm fifteen, really."  We get to a bunch of shops. The road here is very busy. "So, about this tour. Are we doing it or what?"
"Hold on. This might be strange." He says, holding out his hands to me. I refuse it.
"No, thank you." He seems hurt and surprised. "No. No. What I meant was that you lead the way, I'll follow."
He gives me this quizzical look and it makes me think I'm crazy.
"OK. Look." I say as I leap up the side of a shop to the roof, followed by Percy. I can sense his surprise. He joins us on top the building.
"So, GG also has superpowers. Cool!"
I shrug. "It's not superpowers. It's cat instinct."
"You say it like it's a bad thing."
"I don't believe in magic." We continue chatting as we leap from rooftop to rooftop. He chuckles.
"Well, you might want to get used to some around here."
"Oh..."
           After the very fascinating and educating tour, Viperon and I are sitting on a roof, gazing at the Eiffel Tower. I know he might have done it a lot of times but, this is a whole new experience for me. I learn about his other friends, Ladybug, Cat Noir (the ones I saw on the news), Rena Rouge (cool name), Carapace and Queen Bee. I tell him a few things about me. I ask him where I'll be staying and that seems to throw him off a bit. The sun is just setting and it looks really beautiful. I inquire about my accommodation again.
"It's tough. You can't stay at Fu's place and I haven't introduced you to any of my friends - "
I cut him off. "What of your place?"
