Far From Home (Viperion X Reader)

Chapter Seven

           We're standing on a ship. I can't tell why. I am holding Percy very securely in my arms as I follow him in the darkness. My night vision enables me to see clearly, although I conclude that he must know every nook and crannie there is. He leads me into the bottom deck. I wonder if this is where he lives. Then, soon enough, I get my answer. We enter a room with two beds. It is painted in blue on one side and purple on the other.
I am guessing that he is a huge music lover because he has a whole collection of plectra on his wall. He shows me to a bed.
"You'll sleep here for tonight."
"OK. What about your guest room."
"They don't usually have guests sleep over."
"They? I assumed you lived here."
"Nope. They're just a really nice family that I'm close to."
"OK." He turns to leave. "Wait! Where's my phone? And they can't see me like this. I need my clothes."
He reaches for a drawer beside the bed and pulls out my phone. Then, he tells me my clothes are in the closet.
I undress, making sure he's gone. Then, I get into bed and pull the sheets over myself. I take out my phone and text Leah. I tell her I've been taken to Paris. She tells me Luka left with his sister that same night. Turns out they were staying at her place. What a coincidence. She promises to explain my situation to Agent Gregory. I can't be more thankful. I drift to sleep with Percy snuggling against me.
                When I wake up the next morning, which is super early, I quickly get my things. I dress up and wrap my suit up in my sweater. I'll have to do some shopping later. Squee! I get to go shopping in Paris. I pick up all my things and head to the upper deck with Percy trailing silently behind me. Thankfully, the sole of my boot is rubber and doesn't make a sound against the wood floor. Odd as it sounds, the last thing I want to wake up to is a bunch of unsuspecting pirates noticing I've spent the night on their ship.
                   As I make it to the top deck, I freeze in place, causing Percy to hit my legs although, she manages to keep quiet. I am momentarily facing the back of a guy probably one of the pirates. He doesn't look like one though. He doesn't seem to notice me and I can't stay where I am for long, I think I heard someone coming. I take the last step to the top deck.
"Hey" I say, waving to his back. "A-are you one of the ahhh.... " I feel stupid for what's going to come out of my mouth next. "Are you one of the pirates?"
He turns his attention to me now, guitar in hand. And I recognize him immediately.
"Luka!" The words are out before I stop myself.
He smiles a really warm smile and scratches the back of his neck. He sets his guitar on the floor and gets up to meet me.
"[y/n]. Nice to meet you again." I can't help but smile. We haven't even properly met. "Hope you slept well."
I am shocked. "You - you're not mad? I had no where to go to. I got kidnapped, sorta. And I met this Viperon guy. He said he was a family friend and he-"
"It's cool. You're welcome here anytime." Really? I am about to say thank you when someone walks out from the rooms.
"Hey, Juleka. This is [y/n] and [y/n], this is my sister, Juleka."
I wave to Juleka, not too fund of giving handshakes or hugs. "Nice to finally see you. I heard you guys play guitar."
She just mutters something and I think she says "Awesome." I am entranced by her dressing. She has a purple gown that reaches just below her knee with lace hem and All Stars sneakers. Cool.
                Then, a woman who I assume is their mother comes out and I immediately fall in love with their entire family. I assume they're the only ones. And they are. I am begged to stay for breakfast. So I do.

I have to stop writing now. I'll exceed normal chapter length if I don't. This last paragraph comes out like this because I can't remember what Captain Hardrock (that's what I call their mom) wears and also because I'm lazy. So, this book is currently at 29 reads. Soo.... closee.... to.... 30.
