I stormed out of the big house, breaking the door off of its hinges. I knew someone would follow me, they were going to argue about it first. I felt a hand pull on my arm, and I jumped in shock, and I saw Clarisse, holding my wrist tightly.
"You aren't killing yourself, Prissy. I hate to pull this card on you, but killing yourself would be the most selfish thing ever, we need you." Clarisse growled, releasing her grip slightly. I gulped, and I felt myself relax, a whole ton. My shoulders slacked, and she completely released her grip.
"I just want this to stop." I said, sitting down on the grass. Everyone else in camp was following the schedule, training and stuff. I remember when I used to hate doing that, now, I wished I could do that instead of trying to get spirits to leave me alone.
"We know, and we are going to find a way that doesn't involve you killing yourself." She said, sitting down beside me.
"Fine, but if it gets to the point where these ghosts are hurting my friends, I won't hesitate to kill myself. I just hope you respect that." I said, and she nodded.
"Last result only." She nodded. I'm glad she understands. The others wouldn't even let it be a backup plan. "How had has it been? How have you been coping?" She asked, and I shrugged.
"It's been rough, probably would've tried killing myself if Jason and Leo weren't watching me. I already tried to self harm." I said, rubbing my neck and looking down to my knees. She didn't react, and I smiled, she's the most carefree person I know. She didn't freak out at me, or get up and walk away, she just nodded.
"I believe that, your abusive ex step father coming to haunt you for killing him and his family, it's your childhood brought back to haunt you." Clarisse said, sighing, standing up. "Let's go train." She said, walking away. I followed her to the fighting arena, same place where I was told to kill myself when the ghost started appearing.
"Any weapon? Powers?" I asked, smirking. She laughed, shaking her head.
"No, any weapon, no powers." She said and I grinned, grabbing some armour. We got into out battle positions, her with her spear, and me with Riptide.
She took the first chance she could get, she launched at me with her spear, aiming for my left side. I redirected her shot and aimed for her right leg, in between cracks of her armour. She deflected my shot quite easily, throwing a left hook punch.
"Punching now, sure." I grinned, after receiving her hit, which had hit me in an opening on my left side ribs while I was aiming at her right side. She went for a direct hit towards my stomach, but I pivoted on my right foot and tripped her, pointing Riptide at her throat, grinning.
"I think that's a new record." She grinned, but smirked. "Imma break it." She smirked, kicking my knee and shoving me roughly, and I fell, and she quickly disarmed me and had me pinned in the ground.
"Okay, I admit it, Clarisse, you beat me." I laughed and she glared at me jokingly, but helped me up. "For the first time in a long while." I smirked playfully and she glared at me, shoving me again. I suddenly froze, my eyes resting on something in the trees, despite the distance, I saw it clearly.
"Percy? What's wrong?" She asked, looking at where I was looking, but she only seemed more confused. "Prissy, what do you see?" She asked, frustration and worry mixing with her voice.
"I'm hallucinating." I mumbled, rubbing my eyes and looking back, but it was still there. I quickly walked away, my head down to avoid looking at body standing by the trees, a knife lodged in his head.
"What did you see? What were you hallucination?" She asked curiously, trying to catch up to my speed.
"Don't wanna talk about it." I grumbled. Walking quicker and quicker to the Zeus cabin. It's actually become instinct, to go there instead of my cabin. I'm afraid to go into there, it's sad but true, I've been staying in here for a week, and I was in my cabin for a week, but that was pretty horrible.
"Perce! If it's bad, then tell me!" Clarisse said in frustration, following me into the cabin.
"I said I don't want to talk about it so just forget it!" I growled, sitting on the bunk. I started in front of me for a second, tears threatening to fall, I buried my face in my pillow, I won't have to see dead bodies if I can't see.
"Well you are obviously seeing more than one thing! Fine then, don't talk about it!" She growled, slamming the door. I felt my tears begin to stroll down my face, and my heartbeat picked up. I felt my breathing become uneven. I sat up, and all I could see were dead bodies of Gabes family, stone, knife in the head, two deformed bodies, someone hanging, someone with a bullet through the head, green lips and withered skin. Gabe, Bella, Carl, Gabes father, sister and brother, and one of his close friends, who hung himself once I told the police where he was since he was a highly ranked criminal who has been on the run for years.
I wanted to scream, to die, do anything but sit here watching all these spirits taunt me, haunting me. I sobbed into my knees, burying my face and covering my ears
"You killed us!" "You deserve pain!" "Kill yourself and we will leave everyone else alone!" "Draw the knife to your skin and bleed!" "Drink the poison!" All these voices swarmed inside my head, and I grabbed riptide, extended it into sword form and threw it at the closest spirit there, but it went right through it. I grabbed a dagger that was inside one of the bathroom drawers and pressed it against my wrist, and cut once, one disappeared.
I kept cutting my wrist until they were all gone, and I switched to my other wrist, cutting more. I sobbed as the blade cut through my skin. "Percy!" I heard someone shout, tackling me. The knife flew from my hand and I scrambled for it, but it was kicked out of my reach, and Jason was holding me down.
"Let go of me!" I screamed, struggling. I slowly stopped struggling, my vision clearing from the drowsy, tear filled sight I was previously stuck with. I groaned, rubbing my eyes, my arms hurt, and I saw a pool of blood. I felt tears start rolling down my face again, and I used my hands to cover my face.
