Prologue:
EMMA CHAMBERLAIN

Life before him felt like I was only waiting for my last day. I had nothing that kept me here.

He brought out something in me that I never knew I had; hope.

Hope that there is good in this world, hope that I had somewhat of a future ahead of me.

I'd lost that hope when I lost her. My mother; my absolute best friend who was the only one in my life that made me feel alive. She made me feel like my life was worth living.

The only problem; she had a life of her own, that didn't end with me in it.

Drugs were the end; the end that concluded with her overdosing while cooking meth in our old camper. Even if she could've been saved, the explosion killed the chances of bringing my mother back.

That day was the end of any little happiness I had in my life— remotely any source of care I had for anyone vanished into thin air.

Because nobody seemed to care about me; not my dad, or my brothers. I had no one.

Until I met him.

The one who turned my bad into good.

The one who made me feel like I could put an end to all things cruel in this world.

The one who taught me how to love again.

Ethan Dolan; the man who showed me that there's still hope.
