Part 7

Next day Namit woke up before Neha and decided to go for a jog. After returning back from jog and having breakfast with his family, he and Neha were sitting in their room. Namit was doing his work on laptop whereas Neha was arranging her wardrobe.

Namit : Neha what are you going to do today evening?

Neha : Don't know. What about you?

Namit : Nothing special. Just going to meet some friends.

Neha : Ok good.

Namit thought for a while and said : You wanna come with me?

Neha : What will I do there?

Namit : Well you can meet my friends and moreover some of them are bringing their wives along so you know you won't feel left out.

Neha thought over it and replied : Ok I will also come.

Whole week Namit took her somewhere everyday in order to spend some quality time with her. He genuinely wanted to know more about Neha and her interests. In this short span of time, both Namit and Neha were enjoying each other's company. Neha was also learning a new side of Namit which she has not known so far.

It was time for Namit to leave for states. Namit was packing his bag as he was leaving today evening. Kavita and Neha came with boxes of sweet and snacks for him.

Kavita : Namit don't distribute these all eatables in the hospital this time. My daughter in law had made all these specially for you.

Namit had a small smile of appreciation hearing his mother and he mouthed a thank you to Neha before keeping them in his bag.

Soon it was time for Namit to leave. He asked the servant to keep his luggage in his car and went to his parents room to take their blessings and bid them goodbye.

Namit : Mom,dad I am leaving for the airport.

Yash : Ok son take care and have a safe journey.

Kavita : Come back soon beta and call us when you reach ok?

Namit smiled at his parents and nodded.

Yash : Namit are you going alone to the airport or shall I come to drop you son?

Namit shaking his head : No dad you don't bother. Neha is coming to drop me and Mom I told her to directly go to her Mama's house after that. Will that be ok for you both?

Kavita smiling : Yes Namit it's ok. Infact she informed us after lunch only that she will leave after you go.

Yash : Well it will be a good change for her.

Neha came there in the meanwhile and took Kavita and Yash's blessings.

Neha : Maa, papa I will be back in a week. In between if you need any help then call me and I will come ok?

Kavita : Dear don't worry about here. I will handle everything. You just go and have some quality time with your family.

Yash : Yes beta if you wish to stay more with your mother and sister then stay there for few more days. Don't worry about us.

Namit and Kavita both agreed to this and after bidding goodbye to them, Namit and Neha left for the airport.

Before going inside airport, Namit said : Neha I have transferred some rupees in your account. If you need more, let me know. Call me if you need anything else ok?

Neha : Namit there was no need for you to transfer money. I don't need it. I earn pretty well.

Namit : I know you earn good but now since we are married, you are my responsibility and taking care of you and your needs is my duty as your husband so don't argue about anything I do for you.

Neha(sighing) : Ok fine I won't argue. Call me when you reach and don't take tension of here. I will take care of maa and papa.

Namit : I know you will. I trust you. I will try to wrap up my work as soon as I can. And whenever you need a friend remember I am always there for you.

Neha : I know. Take care Namit.

Namit : You too and give mama, Megha and Akash my regards. I will talk with them later.

Neha : I will tell them.

Namit : So shall I go now? It's my flight time.

Neha nodded smiling. Namit felt an urge to kiss her forehead but then he took a step back knowing she won't be comfortable. He waved his hand to Neha and went inside the airport.

Neha stood looking at the entrance for sometime. In this last week she and Namit shared some beautiful moments. She don't know the feeling but she felt emptiness engulfing her. It's just been 10 minutes since Namit left but she started to miss him.

After Nikhil's death, Namit made sure he was always there for Neha. After their marriage, he didn't left her alone for even an hour. Somewhere deep down she started considering him as her support system. She wanted to stop him from going or go with him but then still they were not a normal couple. She thought she would look desperate if she accompanies him.

She and Nikhil were more like friends than husband and wife and his departure was difficult for Neha but in these last three months she somehow came out of that loneliness. But now she thought living without Namit would be more difficult as she felt a different connection with him. The one which she never felt with Nikhil. She didn't knew this feeling but it was very new and different for her.

Sighing she sat in the car and left for her house. Muskaan was watching TV when Neha entered her house.

Neha : See mama I came..

Muskaan looked at her and smiled widely : Ohh I was waiting for you only baby. How are you my girl?

Neha sat near her and kept her head on her mother's shoulder : I am good mama. How are you? And where is Megha didi and Akash jiju?

Muskaan : I am fine and your didi and jiju are still at hospital. Megha called before sometime and said she had a surgery scheduled so she would be late but Akash will come after an hour or so. You dropped Namit at airport?

Neha : Yes mama I dropped him before coming here. He said he will call you to talk.

Muskaan : Baby you go and rest for sometime. Till then I will send some snack in your room.

Neha smiled agreeing to her mother and she went in her old room to rest for sometime.
