Part 8

After dinner and chitchatting with her mother, sister and brother-in-law Neha went in her room to sleep. But when she slept on her bed, she felt different. Her thoughts again went to Namit. Where would he have reached now and moreover will he be thinking of her, will he be missing her like she is missing him. She thought to call him but then he would be flying now so dropped that idea. Thinking about him and her new life, she drifted off to sleep.

Next day she took a long and relaxing shower and then joined her family for breakfast.

Megha : Hey Neha come we were waiting for you only. Let's eat breakfast.

While eating, her thoughts again went to Namit thinking whether he reached or not?

Akash : Neha let's all of us go for dinner today evening. What's say?

Neha was engrossed in her thinking when her mother shook her.

Muskaan : Neha Akash asked you something. Where are you lost beta?

Neha shook her head and said : Nothing special mama. What were you saying jiju?

Akash : I asked what about dinner tonight? All of us.

Neha grinned : Sure jiju let's go. It's been long since we all went anywhere together.

Megha : Yes Neha you are right. It's been like forever since we went for an outing. Akash book a table at our favorite restaurant ok. Also tomorrow we both have half day shift so how about a movie? Akash see for tickets...

Akash : Sure darling. I will book tickets for tomorrow.

Muskaan : That's good. You kids go and enjoy your movie. I will visit Rajat uncle's house tomorrow. Shailee aunty is not feeling well from last week.

Neha : Is she ok mama?

Muskaan : Don't know beta. I will go and see her tomorrow.

Akash : It's ok mama we can go for a movie some other time. We will also accompany you to visit Shailee aunty.

Muskaan : No dear you three go. I will stay a night with Rajat and Shailee. No need to cancel your plan. I will inform you if Shailee's health is more unwell.

Megha : Ok mama if aunty is not feeling well then let us know.

After breakfast, Megha and Akash left for work and Neha sat with her mother for sometime talking on different things. It felt good to come here and visit her family after a long time. Muskaan left to rest for sometime before lunch so Neha also went in her room. She checked her phone as she left it in her room only. There were Namit's missed calls.
She immediately called back cursing herself for her carelessness.

Namit picked up his phone on first ring itself : Neha you alright? Why were you not picking up your phone?

Neha : Sorry I forgot my phone in room itself. Was downstairs with mama. Just now came in room and saw your missed calls. You reached?

Namit : Yes reached an hour back.

Neha : Ok. You informed ma and papa?

Namit : Yes I informed them. What were you doing?

Neha : Nothing much. Was just talking with mama after breakfast. Tonight we all are going for a family dinner.

Namit : That's good. Have fun.

Neha : I will. You tired from travelling?

Namit : Yeah quiet tired. Was going to sleep only before you called.

Neha : Ohh I am sorry. You sleep now.

Namit : Ok will call you later. Bye take care.

Neha : Yeah bye. You too take care and sleep well.

After disconnecting the call, a smile spread across Neha's lips. She felt good after hearing from her husband. She felt an unknown peace talking with him. Namit was putting all his efforts from day one they got married. She also decided to give her 100% in their relationship. She was happy with Nikhil but somewhere their relationship cannot blossom more than a good friendship but with Namit she wished more.
