"How did things go with your parents?" Mark asked Jinyoung the next day.
"Bad." Jinyoung sighed out.
"How bad?" Mark asked, sadness in his voice.
Jinyoung didn't say anything else, he just raised his shirt up and showed Mark the bruises present on his torso.
"They really don't deserve to have a child like you." Mark sadly said, his eyes wandering back to Jinyoung's face.
"Maybe but that's just how things are, I can't really do anything since I am an... omega." Jinyoung whispered the last part so nobody heard.
"That's okay, your alpha will protect you." Mark smiled, pointing at himself.
"I don't need protecting." Jinyoung playfully scoffed.
"You need all the protection in the world, but I honestly don't know why you weren't born a beta or alpha. I thought you were a beta when I first met you and not just because of your beta scent mask." Mark whispered, nudging Jinyoung.
Yes, Jinyoung was an omega and he used a beta scent to mask his own since his smell drove alphas crazy. He could be in serious danger if his smell gets out and he has no mate.
"I am pretty awesome." Jinyoung shrugged, earning a smack on the back of the head.
"Yeah right." Mark laughed, although he silently agreed.
"Alright class, quiet down." The teacher finally came in and started the lesson.

"Get out of my way." Jinyoung gritted out when Jaebum didn't move the first time he asked semi nicely.
"You should really learn to respect people above you." Jaebum furrowed his eyebrows at Jinyoung, not moving from his spot.
"Jinyoung, just go around." Mark sighed out but he knew it was no use, Jinyoung was incredibly hardheaded.
"Or, Jaebum just move." Jackson piped in, earning a glare from Jaebum.
Jinyoung ignored Mark and shoved Jaebum to the side, causing him to crash against the lockers.
Jaebum let out a cold laugh and pushed himself off the lockers, grabbing Jinyoung's arm when he was about to leave. Jaebum then pinned Jinyoung to a locker harshly, catching everyone by surprise.
Jinyoung tried to struggle out of the grip but he was an omega and Jaebum was an alpha so he clearly didn't do much.
"Let go of me, asshat." Jinyoung glared at Jaebum.
"You started it, don't start something you can't finish." Jaebum glared back at Jinyoung, tightening his hold on Jinyoung's wrists.
"Alright back off, Jaebum." Mark patted Jaebum's shoulder, wanting him to stop once he saw that he was hurting Jinyoung.
"Shut up, Jinyoung should be able to defend himself." Jackson said, pushing Mark away from Jaebum.
"I can finish this." Jinyoung spat out, freeing one of his hands and pushing Jaebum off.
"Yeah right, a beta is no match for an alpha." Jaebum cockily said, pushing his hair back.
"Fuck you, just because you're an alpha doesn't mean that you're at the top." Jinyoung snapped, he's starting to realize that he gets really heated when he talks to Jaebum.
"Maybe not, but I will be when I become the alpha of the pack." Jaebum shrugged, mockingly raising an eyebrow at Jinyoung.
"And that's the day everything will go to shit." Jinyoung snapped, at this point almost everyone was used to them fighting but it was still entertaining.
"I guess we'll see then. But one thing's for sure, you will know who your alpha is and where your place is." Jaebum said, coldness lacing his tone.
"You're never gonna be my alpha. The dirt on the bottom of my shoe would've been a better choice than you." Jinyoung spat out, shoving Jaebum away one last time before waking away with Mark trailing close behind.
"I am going to kill him one day." Jaebum gritted out as he watched Jinyoung leave.
"You think so?" Jackson asked, looking up at his best friend.
"I know so." Jaebum confirmed, smacking the locker one more time before turning around and going the opposite way that Jinyoung left.
"I thought so." Jackson sighed, shaking his head and following Jaebum.
