"Fuck you." Jaebum spit out before turning on his feet and walking away, in the process hurting his pride.
Jinyoung almost let out a sigh of relief when he saw Jaebum walking away, god that could've gone a lot worse. Jinyoung made sure to scoff before turning away and walking the opposite direction that Jaebum went to.
"Note to self, never do that again." Jinyoung mumbled to himself, he never felt so much fear in his life before.

"Alright, what the fuck was that?" Mark asked when he saw Jinyoung later in class.
"What was what?" Jinyoung asked, trying to sound as oblivious as possible.
"You asked Jaebum to reject you in front of the whole school." Mark said, amazed at Jinyoung's stupidity.
"It wasn't the whole schoo-"
"Who cares?! For someone so smart you sure do act like a complete dumbass sometimes. I asked y'all to fix it, not make it worse." Mark furrowed his eyebrows, getting upset at Jinyoung's lack of care.
"You're lucky that Jaebum has more of a brain than you and he didn't reject you, surprisingly." Mark sighed, pretending to take notes as the teacher was already giving them looks.
"I know, I was surprised too." Jinyoung shrugged, actually taking notes.
"'I kNoW i WaS sUrPrIsEd ToO' do you have no shame? Are you not embarrassed of the show that you made?" Mark questioned him, completely stopping his note taking to gape at Jinyoung in disbelief.
"Nope." Jinyoung popped the 'p', not taking his eyes off of his paper.

"That must be embarrassing." Jackson laughed, quickly muffling it so that they wouldn't get caught skipping.
"Shut the fuck up, Jinyoung is such a handful. I never thought that he'd be that intolerable, he hurt my pride in from of the whole school." Jaebum vented, feeling a little angry at himself but mostly Jinyoung.
"You should've just rejected him, you would've gotten rid of him." Jackson shrugged when Jaebum threw his a glare.
"I mean hear me out, if you really don't like him then you should've done it. It's an easy way out and he was practically begging you to do it." Jackson paused to look at Jaebum, who was looking at him with a warning look.
"Unless..." Jackson kept going, trailing off when a bell went off in his head, he turned to Jaebum who was now looking at the ground, not wanting to meet his eyes and Jackson immediately knew that he was right.
"You like him, don't you?" Jackson softly asked, his eyes on Jaebum. Jaebum closed his eyes tightly, this couldn't be happening, not right now.
"Fuck no, where'd you get that from?" Jaebum asked, making sure to put a disgusted look.
"Jaebum, it's oka-"
"No it's not! Jinyoung has so many problems that have now become mine, I can't stop thinking about them. I can't stop trying to find solutions to them. I was wrong, Jinyoung's not selfish, I am. I don't want to be his mate because I don't want to care for someone who doesn't care about me. I don't want to be his mate because he's a stubborn dickhead. I didn't reject him, which is what he wanted, because I want to... be his mate." Jaebum finished off, pulling at his hair in frustration. Jackson watched silently and absorbed the information his best friend just gave him.
"It's all gonna be okay, Jaebum." Jackson gave him a small frown, going over to him to rub his back.
Jaebum gave him a humorless laugh as his shoulders relaxed, almost like there was weight on his shoulders that has now been lifted.
"I hope you're right." Jaebum sighed, preparing to head back to class and deal with the embarrassment when the bell rang.
