Jaebum had dragged Jinyoung all the way to the other side of the campus where empty classes were located. Nobody went here, besides people who skipped and couples who wanted privacy.

"You can let go of me now."
Jinyoung said, although for some odd reason he wanted to keep touching Jaebum.

"What are we gonna do?" Jaebum asked, sitting on a table and turning to face Jinyoung.

"What's there to do? It's not like we can break this bond or whatever." Jinyoung sighed, taking a step back from Jaebum.

"So what? I'm supposed to like you now?" Jaebum scoffed, looking down at the floor.

"Listen, it's not like I'm gonna magically like you either. Maybe you should stop being a whiny bitch about it." Jinyoung rolled his eyes at Jaebum.

"Is that how you talk to your mate? Geez, I'm in for treat." Jaebum sarcastically let out, crossing his ankles and crossing his arms over his chest.

"Shut up." Jinyoung snapped, narrowing his eyes on Jaebum.

"So do we try it or what?" Jaebum asked, changing the topic because Jinyoung looked like he was about to murder Jaebum.

"Try what?" Jinyoung asked, furrowing his eyebrows in a cute manner.

"I don't know, this mate thing." Jaebum shrugged, looking around awkwardly.

"I'm not gonna kiss you." Jinyoung snapped, making Jaebum roll his eyes and look at him.

"I didn't mean that, I meant like hugging or something?" Jinyoung could tell that Jaebum was clearly uncomfortable so he decided to not tease him.

"I mean, what do I have to lose, stand up." Jinyoung ordered, walking a little closer to where Jaebum was at.

Jaebum slowly stood up from the table and awkwardly stood there until Jinyoung made move.

"Geez, am I gonna have to be the man in the relationship?" Jinyoung asked, going to initiate a hug but Jaebum stepped back.

"Um, no. I'm the man." Jaebum furrowed his eyebrows, a little annoyed at Jinyoung.

"Well you don't seem manly to me." Jinyoung raised an eyebrow and dropped his arms to his side.

Jaebum didn't say anything, he just grabbed Jinyoung, wrist and pulled him close. Jinyoung automatically wrapped his arms around Jaebum's neck while Jaebum loosely wrapped one arm around Jinyoung's waist, the other one hanging at his side.

Jinyoung didn't really expect this to do anything, he just expected an awkward hug but as soon and Jaebum wrapped his arm around his waist. He felt safe, Jaebum's smell helped a lot with that too. He just hoped that Jaebum felt the same.

Jaebum felt different, very different.

He felt the need to protect Jinyoung, his mate. He picked up his other hand and cupped the back of Jinyoung head, bringing him closer so that he was nuzzled against his neck.

"Yup, I don't feel anything." Jaebum pushed Jinyoung off after a few seconds. Jinyoung stumbled back a little and was caught off guard by Jaebum's words.

"Good, cause I didn't feel anything for you either." Jinyoung scoffed, stepping away from Jaebum.

"Guess we never have to talk to each other again." Jaebum almost smiled at the thought.

"Fine by me. And also, one last thing... I can be with whoever I want to be without you interfering." Jinyoung smugly smiled at Jaebum, not waiting for answer as he walked out of the classroom.
