Finding The Pieces

Chapter 6

Thank you for your patience everyone, this chapter took long er cause I decided to completely rewrite it from my original draft written version but follows the same direction I was going for, and with out further adieu, please read on. Hours had passed since Ron's attempt to leave as he was recovering in bed half asleep. Shiro stayed in the room with a worried look while glancing at Rose as the shiny Kirlia was fidgeting in her seat and brimmed to the top with curiosity. Karin left the room earlier to get food with Geist tagging also with his trainer, leaving Rose and Shiro on there own with a half conscious blue jackal. The room felt still with no one speaking that made it feel eerie until Rose's curiosity decided to speak for her.

" Umm, can I ask you a question? "

" Sure, go ahead. "

" How long have you know your friend there for? "

" Not that long, why? "

" Well you seem really concerned about him, almost like a sibling would. "

" Yeah well were not related by any means. He saved me after a group of Sneasels ambushed me and I feel like I own him a favor in return. "

Shiro's gaze fell onto the half sleeping form of Ron who was now well aware of the conversation by now. Deciding to see where the conversation would go, Ron kept quiet rather than intervene the conversation.

" So how did you meet your trainer? If you don't mind me asking. "

 Rose seemed hesitant to answer the question as worry leaked off from her aura while Ron continued to listen in silence, unknowingly to the other two in the room.

" When I was young I was abandoned by my parents because of the way I looked. " She said as she twitted with her aquamarine hair between her fingers. 

" They said to me; ' Your risking the safety of your family. Don't you want to keep your brothers and sisters safe? You selfish little worm! Can't you look after your self!? "

She gave herself as moment to breath, anger still present in her aura.

" But I don't remember much about my parents anyway, eventually Karin found me raised me and I evolved. "

" I'm sorry to hear that Rose. "

" Its fine I see Karin as my parent instead any way. "

They continued to chat about how different wild and domestic Pokemon differences and as they chatted Ron listened in with curiosity on how Rose seemed to trust her human trainer rather than having hate and disdain. The conversation eventually went to what they wanted to do next.

" So what are planing on going after Ron's healed up? "

" Honestly I don't know, you talking about traveling sounds fun but I don't know where to go. "

" So why don't you come back to Sinnoh with us ! I'm sure Mr. and Mrs. Baker wouldn't mind. "

" I don't know... I should ask Ron first. " said Shiro with reluctance

They stayed quiet until suddenly Ron started speaking.

" Shiro, if you want to go with them, I'm not going to stop you. "

" Wait your awake!? How long have you been listening to our conversation!? "

" Long enough. "

" But your just letting me go? Just like that? "

Waves of sadness from Shiro made Ron feel guilty about his decision but it was for the best for him. 

" Shiro I'm not going to abandon you, but I have a different goal in mind and that involves no trainers. "

" Okay , but will I see you again? "

" You will and I promise that. "

But deep inside Ron's gut instinct screams to stay with Shiro, but not with a human holding his leash willingly. Not on his watch, never again.
