Trust

    I sat on my bed, watching out the window as the clouds passed by in a slow, soft dance.I stood up when all of a sudden, all the lights went out. I heard the contestants complaining loudly and my dad saying that he'll figure it out and to practice in the dark for now. I shook my head and decided it was safe enough to run down and grab a drink and snack from the kitchen. I slipped on some slippers and tied up my hair and quietly walked out of my room and stepped down the stairs and made sure it was safe enough for me to sneak by. I started walking down the hallway when I heard a voice from behind me. "Well, well, dear what are you? I've never seen you before." The voice said. I stopped and started shaking as I knew the voice was not my dad's or Johnny's, but I did recognized it as the cocky mouse, Mike. "Well, come on Jennifer, turn around and let me see you more clearly!" Mike said, I stood there shaking from fear, knowing that if I turn around, that he would know I was different and he would reveal my secret. "Well. I guess I'll just come to you." Mike said, starting to walk around me, and I noticed what was in his hands. "Oh ho ho! I knew you were going to make me a lot of money!" He said, pulling up the camera to take a picture. Before he could take the picture though, someone stood in my way. "Now I don't know what you think your doin' but that crap ends here you understand me?" Johnny said, taking the camera and tossing it to the side. "Now what the hell do you think you're doing you big oaf?! Do you not realize that I could be making millions off of this girl and how different she looks?!" Mike said angrily, pointing up at me as the lights turned on. Because of the commotion, everyone started to come out of their practice rooms and entered in my dad as well as Meena. "It doesn't matter what someone looks like! Don't you get it?! You can't take someones picture and make millions off of them, it's wrong!" Johnny said. "Now what is going on here?" My dad asked, looking between Johnny and Mike. "You've been hiding this creature from us! Look at her, she only has fur on her head! She looks NOTHING like us! Do you know how much money I could make if others found out about her?" Mike said, motioning at me. I wrapped my arms around my chest and torso in order to hide myself. "Now you listen here Mike I -" my dad began to say before Johnny picked him up and whispered in his ear. While the rest of us couldn't hear, the looks going across his face was all we needed to know. "You understand Mike?" Johnny said and Mike nodded his head quickly, as Johnny put him down gently. "Well I guess you all deserve to know..." My dad said, motioning everyone to the stage. As everyone stood around among each other, I stood next to my dad, Eddie, and Ms. Crawly. "Everyone I'd like you to meet my daughter, Jennifer." my dad said, motioning to me. I waved and looked at each other them, some had looks of shock, some had looks of awe, but none had looks of disgust, which I was very happy for. "Hi, I'm Rosita." The female pig said, waving to me and I waved back, smiling. Soon enough everyone started introducing themselves and I was just happy to know that no one was scared of me. "Well now that that excitement is over, how about we get back to practicing?" My dad suggested as they went back to their rooms to practice and Johnny waved to me and smiled. I smiled back and sat down to see my dad better. "I'm so sorry that that happened honey, I wish I could have stopped him sooner." dad said, holding my hands. "It's ok dad, Johnny was there to stop him." I said smiling and squeezing his hands softly. "Yeah I noticed you and Johnny, have you two talked before?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at me. "Maybe once or twice, but this is the first time he's seen my face, I promise." I said quickly. My dad nodded his head and hugged me tightly. "I just want you to be safe my love." He whispered and I smiled and promised I would be.
