I woke up to the sound of a lot of people chattering outside, which was odd seeing as it was around 8 A.M. I stood up and peeked out my window and gasped. There was a huge line of people outside the theater and a lot of there were holding an orange flyer. "DAD! There's a huge line!" I yelled, while running to my dads room. He jumped up and looked out the window and smiled, calling Ms. Crawley and explaining that she needed to hurry and get over, that they have auditions to look out.
Of course I wasn't allowed to be in the same room while the auditions were going on, so of course I to one of the roof beams and sat patiently as I watched each contestant go up and try their shot at being a star. From the Pig boldly dancing to "Bad Romance", the bunnies sing "Anaconda", and the adorable kangaroo singing with her mom by her side, I sighed as I started to think who my dad and Ms. Crawley were going to pick. I perked up when I saw the gorilla from the other day come up on stage and introduce himself. "Hello, my name is Johnny and I'm gonna be singin' "Stay with Me." I smiled at he started to sing possibly one of my favorite slow songs and I smiled even wider when my dad said he did a great job!
Finally it was time for them to choose who was going to be in the competition! I couldn't wait and got more and more excited as the went down the list and had to hold back my laughter as that one guy passed gas and stepped on his friend. "... and Ben! Thank you Johnny!" my dad said as I held back a yell, what was he thinking! Johnny was WAY better than the giraffe (no offense). When my dad realized it was difficult to speak to the giraffe, he called Johnny back and sent Ben home. "Thank God.." I muttered to myself, readjusting myself and my hoodie so I was more comfortable as my dad talked to the new singing crew. I noticed they were all talking and moving towards the chest as I heard the mouse, Mike, say he wanted to see what $100,000 looked like. 'That's not right.. There is only $1,000 in there!' I thought to myself as I leaned forward to get a better view. My dad looked confused then shocked and worried as Eddie handed him the orange flyer. After a minute my dad turned around and announced that he forgot his keys and grabbed Ms. Crawley and ran to his office. I climbed down and ran quickly and quietly to his office and as I walked in, Ms. Crawley was crying and my dad told he she WASN'T fired. She went outside to blow her nose as Eddie, my dad and I sat in the office trying to figure out what to do. After explaining to Eddie what my grandfather did for my dad, they both ran down to the auditorium and I hide as my dad sent everyone home. "Like my dad used to say - "Get a good night sleep and do a great days work!" Eddie shook his head and sighed and I smiled.
