I stared at the ceiling of my cabin before casting a quick glance at Tyson's bunk, which despite me having lived here alone, the empty bunk just made the entire cabin feel empty.

I sighed and sat up. Grabbing a flashlight from under my bunk, I used some water to create a rainbow.

"Oh Iris, goddess of the rainbow, please accept my offering. Show me Kaldur'ahm in Poseidonis."

The rainbow rippled until it showed Kaldur who was curled up in his bunk.

"Kaldur."

When he shot awake I smiled. It is a good thing he is a light sleeper.

"Percy? What time is it?" He rubbed his eyes.

"I do not know, but can you come here? To camp?"

"Why?"

"I...I simply wish to see you."

"Fine, but I cannot get through the barrier."

"I can meet you outside."

Kaldur nodded and cut through the message.

I got up and pulled on a jacket before quietly leaving the cabin.

I made my way towards the beach. Thank the gods Chiron ended the curfew and got the harpies to stop attacking us.

I ran towards the water, throwing my jacket to the side. I dove into the sea and quickly swam until I was outside the reach of the barrier. And I waited.

After a while, I thought Kaldur wasn't coming, so I turned to go back to shore. As I did, arms wrapped around me.

Kaldur pulled me close to his chest and he relaxed.

"Are you okay?" He mumbled.

I turned in his grip and smiled at him. "Of course I am."

He sighed. "Has anything else occurred with Luke?"

I chewed the inside of my lip and nodded. "He poisoned Thalia's Pine. And he tried to kill me again."

Kaldur rested a hand on the side of my face, staring at me. "Are you sure you are okay?"

"I...am not sure." I pulled away from him.

We floated in silence.

"You know, you almost resemble Garth with your hair like that." Kaldur said.

"Is that an insult to me or Garth?"

"Neither. It is simply a statement."

I chuckled softly before wrapping my arms back around Kaldur. I did not react as he traced my gills, which resulted in him pressing a kiss to my head.

"At least you still trust me. I am not sure I could go through that again." He mumbled.

After that, we pulled away from each other and began to play. We may be soldiers, but we are still young.

That lasted for an hour or so. And then I started yawning.

"Percy...you should go to sleep." Kaldur swam over.

"I will be fine."

"As your brother, I am insisting that you go and get some sleep."

"I will sleep in tomorrow."

"No. Go to bed."

I whined and fought against him as he gently pulled me to his chest. A soft lullaby rang through the water.

And then a rock sank down from above. Our eyes both widened and he darted to the ocean floor while I headed for the surface.

As I breached the surface I saw a makeshift raft.

"You okay Perce?" Beckendorf asked, sitting a pebble to the side.

"How'd you know where I was at?"

"I didn't. I just kept dropping rocks down and you finally came up. Come on, get up here." He offered me his hand.

I sighed and took it. Water fell from my clothes back into the sea as I sat beside him on the raft.

"So, why did you come out here?" He looked at me.

"Why did you follow me?" I asked.

"Not everyday I see you sneak off into the night."

"What are you talking about? That's every night."

Beck laughed and turned to look at me. He opened his mouth to speak but froze.

"Percy?"

I groaned and waved a hand, water splashing Kaldur. "What do you want Fish Head?"

"I...I forgot to mention that Mother was planning on you returning though the decision to return is still up to you."

"I know. Tell her I'll see her soon okay? And you'd better quote me word for word. I do not want a repeat of last time."

"What happened last time? And who is this? And why do you have gills?"

"I almost got grounded, this is my brother, and I'm half-Atlantean." I said before I could stop myself.

"Like...Atlantean as in Aquaman?"

I nodded, nervousment settling in my gut. "Um...you will not tell anyone right Beck?"

He laughed. "Have you told anyone about my crush?"

I shook my head.

"Then you don't have to worry about me." He leaned over the edge of the raft a hand stretched out to Kaldur. "Nice to meet you, my name's Charles but you can call me Beckendorf."

"Kaldur'ahm, but if you wish you can call me Kaldur." Kaldur shook his hand.

"So...are you full or half...?"

Kaldur and I looked at each other before I responded. "We...do not exactly know."

"How do you not know?"

"We're...We are twins. But Kaldur does not have powers and my father cannot say if he is a demigod or not."

"Well how about we try the barrier? If he can't go through then-"

"That is not a full proof plan." Kaldur sighed. "The moment I step into camp, either Percy will say who our father is or he will claim me. Could you imagine the events that would transpire? A war could break out between Earthers and Atlanteans."

"If my uncle found out my dad had another kid that he did not send to camp..." I sighed. "He would not hesitate to kill us both. It is better to not be certain."

"Why are you talking like that?" Beck asked.

"Like what?" I tilted my head slightly.

"You sound more formal. Not like you usually do."

"Oh. This is simply how I speak most of the time. I have picked up on some Earther habits in six years but my formal tone persists in most any conversation I have. Whenever I am around other Atlanteans I tend to speak as I would undersea."

Beck nodded. "We better get back to camp. I guess I'll see you later."

"Perhaps we should meet up outside sometimes." Kaldur suggested.

"That sounds good. Come on Percy. Let's get back before Chiron finds outs and puts us on dish duty."
