"You're dismissed," Batman said, allowing us to go change and shower after our mission. I nodded and walked away. My footsteps were light and a smile rested on my face. I could already smell Megan preparing cookies in the kitchen, and once Wally leaved, we will not have to worry about them all disappearing in an instant.

I stretched, walking into my room in order to grab a change of clothes. My bed was messy and I had to sigh. Percy was in here, wasn't she? My eyes flitted around the the room, noting that my dresser drawer's were slightly ajar, along with my closet door. My bottle of shampoo wasn't where I left it. I couldn't help the smile that rose to my face. At least that hasn't changed. Once that thought passed into my mind, I quickly pushed it away. By doing this she is distracting me when I need to make sure the Team is safe.

Still, I couldn't help but to wonder which color she was trying to dye my hair this time.

I grabbed my shower supplies and a change of clothes. The writing on the back made me sigh and look for a new shirt, only to find the same writing on the back of all of them. I was sure it would wash out, Percy never did anything that would cost money in the long run, but it did not make it less annoying. Resigning myself to my fate, I started towards the showers. Halfway there, things went wrong.

There was a scream.

Water flowed around my legs.

The lights went out.

There's no intruder, but all of the plumbing in the Cave has been destroyed. I'm calling Zatara to deal with the water. Robin is disabling the power grid. Stay calm. Batman's voice carried through the mind link. I didn't respond.

My feet pounded against the floor as I rushed towards the sound. I would recognize that scream anywhere. Something was wrong with Percy, and I doubted it was something simple. It never is with her. I overrode the lock on the girls showers and stepped inside. I scanned the room, and my eyes quickly locked onto Percy's huddled frame. In my panic, I forgot the act I was putting on.

"Percy? What is it? What's wrong?" I knelt beside her. Water soaked into my pants and more rained down on me from the broken shower heads. I placed my hand on her shoulder. In return, I received a punch to my stomach. Percy was looking at me, but she was not looking at me, if that makes any sense. "Percy," I said. As I watched, her eyes focused on me.

"Are you real?" she whispered. I swallowed back any urge I had to comfort her. Keep the act up. Keep it up and she will go home. "If you are not, kill me now and be done with it." And, oh, how did that make things harder for me. Automatically my mind went to the most rational solution. Take her hands and make her know everything is okay. That I will keep her safe.

I clenched my jaw. No. I cannot. I am not willing to put my friends into the same danger I face.

"I am adding poor control of powers to the reasons for which you should not be here."

A brief burst of joy lit Percy's eyes, before my words sank in. She groaned. "What did I do?" she asked.

"You completely destroyed the Cave's plumbing system. Batman is calling Zatara in in order to evaporate the water flooding in." I stood, roughly grabbing Percy's arm and hauling her to her feet. "You are lucky Robin was able to disable the power grid before the water reached any electronics.

Percy rolled her eyes. "Lucky? Is that not the story of my entire life?"

I growled. "You could've killed the entire Team!" Once again she is showing no regret about the actions she takes, actions that could end up with people seriously injured or dead. Connor and I are capable of surviving electrical shocks, but the others would not walk away as easily.

"From what our king says," Percy said. "You very well could have caused them the same fate when you discovered Connor. You are supposed to be the most mature out of everyone here, and yet you ran of with Wally and Robin because the League did not want the three of you in danger."

"We are trained to fight, and yet they-"

"I am trained to fight as well. We both know that if I truly wanted to, I could kill you right now, right where you stand." She drew a deep breath and walked passed me. She paused beside me. Her head didn't turn, but still she spoke to me. "Know this, Kaldur'ahm, with each day that passes I grow closer to aiming for that."

The door closed behind Percy as she walked out. I sighed and looked at my hands. Clenching them into fists, I steeled my will. It will not be long. Percy will realize she is better off at home. She will realize that it is safer for her there and that it is safer for the others if she doesn't remain.

A smile appeared on my lips. Not too much longer and everything will be as it should. Percy will be far away from me and the Team. Much too far away for the disasters that follow her to strike here.

My friends will be safe.

I FINALLY GOT THIS CHAPTER DONE
