Part 5- Closer

Jug's pov:

"You look stunning, B" Veronica smiles as we walk downstairs. "Thanks, V" Betty smiles. "All ready to go?" Archie asks. "Yep" Betty smiles as I open the front door for her. "By the way, Arch and I have a small surprise for you after dinner" I grin as we get into the car. "What is it!" Veronica squeals. "You have to wait" Archie says as we drive down the street. "I hate waiting" Betty pouts. "Trust me, it's worth the wait" I say with a huge smirk. "Is it boring?" Betty asks. "The opposite" I grin. She smiles and unclips her seatbelt. "What are you doing?" I ask. She moves into the middle seat and clips the seatbelt on. She rests her head on my shoulder and gently places her hand on mine. A huge grin appears on my face as I gently place a kiss on top of her head. After 10 minuets of driving we finally arrive at the small diner. I climb out of the car and grab Betty's hand. She giggles as she leads me inside. "What are you going to get?" Betty asks me as we all look through the menus. "probably the burger" I smirk. "I have no clue what do get" Betty pouts. "B, it's really similar to pops, just pick something" Veronica says. "I'm getting the same as you" Betty murmurs as she rests her head on my shoulder. After we ordered our food I decided to ask V and Arch some questions about the whole rollerskating thing. "So is it official?" Is all I have to ask. "Yes!" Veronica basically yells. "I'm so happy for you, V" Betty smiles. "Finally got her" I smirk at Archie. "I did" Archie says as Veronica places a kiss on his cheek. "Now you two just need to hook up" Veronica chimes in. "Uh-" Betty stutters. "I'm kidding" She smirks. "Not kidding" She adds under her breath. I kick her from under the table which makes her laugh.  "Good?" I ask Betty as she takes a bite out of her hamburger. "Not as good as Pops but still amazing" She grins. "I agree" Veronica says. "We are definitely going to have to visit you guys in Riverdale" Archie says. "You will have too" Betty says and then takes a sip from her coke. 

"Can we please go now" Archie whines. "I'll just go pay" I say and get up from the table. As I do, Betty grabs my hand and walks with me to the counter. "You all good?" I whisper. "Yeah" She smiles. I pay for everyones food and then we all head back to the car. "Can you just please tell us where we are going" Veronica whines. "Not yet" I chuckle. "No fair" Betty pouts. "Archie, pass me a blindfold" I say with a smirk. "What!?" Betty shouts. "Veronica, pass him this and put that one on" Archie says while passing two blindfolds to her. "Why am I putting this on?" She asks. "Its a surprise" I say as I put Betty's blindfold on. "I'm scared" Betty says innocently. "Come here then" I say with a huge grin. She rests her head on my shoulder while I wrap my arms around her. "If you are going to kill us please tell me" Veronica says. Archie and I both burst out laughing while Betty just grips onto my shirt tighter. "Don't be scared, you're safe, I promise" I whisper directly in her ear. She nods slightly, still holding onto me. "We're here!" Archie shouts which makes Betty and Veronica both jump. "Your safe" I whisper again. She slowly releases her grip so  I can get out of the car. "I'm going to lift you out, okay" I say. "Okay" Betty says. I grip her waist and gently lift her onto the ground. "Archie, fucking hold onto me!" Veronica screams. "I'm trying!" Archie shouts back. "If I fucking fall!" Veronica yells. "Your fine!" Archie yells back. "Don't make me yell at you" Betty giggles. "I won't" I say as hold onto her waist from behind. "Can I walk forwards or will I bash into something?" She asks. "Walk forward" I say so she takes slow steps forward. Once we reached the entrance Archie and I took off the girls' blindfolds. "You bought us here!" Veronica squeals with excitement. "Oh my gosh, thank you!" Betty shouts as she hugs me tightly. "When we were kids-" Veronica cries. "We used to come here all the time" She adds. "Riverdale never has carnivals" Betty says. "In fact I have never been on any type of amusement ride" She adds. "Well, today is the day you go on a small one" I smirk. She grabs my hand and skips inside the entrance. "Can we get candy floss first" She giggles as she points to the candy floss cart. "Look at the lights" Veronica says as she points to the ferris wheel. "We can go on that next if you two want" Archie says. "Yay!" Betty says as she skips over to the candy floss cart. "4 please" She smiles. I hand the lady 10 dollars and then we head over to the carnival games. Archie and I go first with a water shooting game. "You won!" Betty says as she hugs my torso. "Your prize" The guy says as he hands me a panda soft toy (Like the one from Five feet apart) "For you" I grin as I hand Betty the panda while Archie gives Veronica a tiger. "Aww your so sweet" She says as she hugs me again. "I love it" She smiles. "B, come and play this game with me!" Veronica shouts as she runs to a ball throwing game. Betty runs after her while laughing. "They love it aye" Archie says. "They do" I smile as I look at Betty and Veronica having the time of their lives. "I won!" Betty shouts as the guy passes her a small fish soft toy. "Can we go on the Ferris wheel now?" Veronica asks. "Yeah, come on" Archie says. We all go over to the Ferris wheel which only has a small line. Veronica and Archie get in their seat first and head up to the top to even it all out. Betty and I got in the next and immediately she gripped the handle. "What happens if it breaks" She says as she looks down. "It won't break" I grin. "How do you know" She gulps. I grip her hand and slowly move closer to her. "You'll be fine, I promise" I say and then kiss her temple.
