Distance won't break us~ A Bughead Story

Part 1- Meeting

This part will be flickering through pov's quickly. 

Betty's pov:

"B, it's a new year, you have to get a boyfriend" V says for the hundredth time. "V, I have said this numerous times, all the guys are jerks here" I say with a groan. "Try online dating then" She says as we enter english class. "No way" I complain as I sit at my desk. She rolls her eyes and grabs out her phone. She starts laughing hysterically. "What is it?" I ask. She shows me a video of a cat rolling off a bed. "How is that funny?" I ask. "Cause it's from Jug" She laughs. "Oh, that kid again" I say. "You would like him" She says. "Yeah, sure" I say sarcastically. "Trust me, Him and Arch are the best friends you could ever have" She smiles. "What about me!" I basically shout.  "And you" She grins. "Thank you" I smirk. "But really, you should come to New York with me over the summer" She says. "I don't even know them, so no" I say. She hands me her phone which shows a picture of a red haired boy. "Jughead?" I ask. "Nope, Archie" She says. "Swipe across" She adds. I swipe across to see a photo of a really hot boy. "Jughead!?" I say in shock. "Mm hm" She smirks. "Holy shit" I say with my jaw hanging. "He's really the best" She smiles. "Girlfriend?" I ask, still looking at the photo. "No girlfriend" She says. "I changed my mind about coming this summer" I say as I hand her phone back. "I'll send it to you" She smirks. "What no" I stutter. "Sent" She says as she slips her phone into her pocket. "Have you ever wanted to date him?" I ask. "No, I like Archie" She says. "He wouldn't even like me anyway" I sigh. "Don't be stupid" She says. "He's hot and well I'm... not" I sigh. "Oh Betty, when will you learn" She says. "Good morning class!" The teacher yells, stopping me from replying. 

"B, thank god I found you!" V shouts as she races into the cafeteria. "Whoa, whats wrong!?" I ask frantically. "Jughead wants your number!" She squeals. "Wait what, no!" I shout. "Why?" She asks as she calms down. "Because, just no!" I shout. "B, I showed him a photo, he thinks you're beautiful" She says. "What photo!" I yell. She shows me the photo of myself in a yellow dress, looking like a princess. "Oh, thank god" I sigh in relief. "So, can I give it to him?" She asks with a hopeful look. "Fine" I sigh. "Yay!" She practically screams as she types away at her phone. "He's gonna text you" She smirks as she skips away. 'Fuck' I think as I slop down into a chair. 

Jug's pov:

"Soooo, want her number?" Veronica asks through the phone. "She's really beautiful but I don't want to scare her away" I sigh. "Jug, she thinks you're hot" She says. "Wait really!?" I ask. "Yes, now do you want it?" She asks. "Sure, why not" I say. She starts screaming and then hangs up. "What was that about?" Archie asks as we walk though the school halls. "V is giving me a girl's number" I say. "Oh, is it that Betty girl?" Archie asks. "Yep" I say. "Hey, did Ronnie say anything about a boy?" He asks. "No, why?" I ask. "No reason" He says. The next thing I know my phone pings with Ronnie's contact. "Text her now!" It reads. I click on the number and try and figure out what the heck to even say. "Just say 'hi' you idiot" Archie chuckles. I type 'Hi' and then close off my phone. "Finally, you are branching out" He smirks. "Shut up" I say and push him playfully. "Is she hot?" He asks. "She's beautiful" I say while red creeps onto my face. "Your whipped" He smirks. "Be quiet" I snap. "Let's go to the student lounge so you can text your girl" He smirks. "She is not my girl" I say. "Yet" He adds. "Your dead!" I yell and chase after him. 

Betty's pov:

'What do I even say' I think to myself. I reply with a 'Hi' and start biting my nails because of my anxiety. 'Your really beautiful ❤️' He says. My whole face goes red and my heart starts to flutter. "V!" I shout and start running to our next class. I rush into math and chuck her my phone. "What?" She asks. "What do I even say!" I shout. "Say thank you and give him a compliment back" She says. "I can't say he's hot can I" I say. "Why not?" She asks with a smirk. I snatch my phone off her and start typing. 'Your not so bad yourself' I reply. 'Thank you 😏 😂' He replies. "What did he say?" V asks. I give her my phone and she starts screaming so loud. "Shut up!" I yell. "He so likes you!" She squeals. "Really?" I ask. "Hell yes!" She says with an excited look on her face. She passes me my phone and takes out hers. She gives me a devilish smirk which means she is up to something. "V..." I say. "Hey, Jug" She smirks at her phone. "What no!" I shout and then slap my hand over my mouth. "Who's that?" Jug asks through the phone. "Betty" She smirks. "Show me" He says. "No, absolutely not!" I whisper shout. "Hey" He says as he looks at me. "Hi" I say awkwardly. "Cut the awkwardness and talk" V says as she shoves her phone into my hands. "I'm Jug as you know" He chuckles. "Betty" I smile. "What's it like in Riverdale?" He asks. And that's when it started, we talked all lunchtime and V was really right... he is an amazing guy. 

Jug's pov:

"I'm so sorry Jug, I have to go" She says sadly. "It's all good, um maybe we can talk tonight?" I ask. "Sounds great!" She grins. "Bye" I smile. "Bye" She says and hangs up. "A match made in heaven" Archie smirks. "Piss off" I groan as I walk to my next class. "Can't get away from me, we have the same class!" He yells as he chases after me. "Boys, what is the meaning of this!" The teacher shouts as we run into the classroom. "He's whipped!" Archie shouts. "Someones got a girlfriend!" Reggie shouts. "Shut up mantle!" I shout. "Alright, everyone calm down" the teacher says. "So unfair" Some blonde girl murmurs. "Who's the lucky girl?" Toni asks. "Betty Cooper!" Archie shouts. "Shut up!" I yell. "V's new friend?" She asks. "No!" I lie. "Yes!" Archie shouts. "Alight, settle down!" The teacher shouts over top of us. I glare at Archie as Toni starts laughing quietly. 

As soon as I got out of my final class I ran all the way home. "Hey, Jug" My mom says as I enter the house. "Hi" I smile as I chuck off my shoes. "Why are you so happy" My sister smirks. "Damn, thought you would have ran away by now" I joke. "Shut up" She giggles. I grab an apple from the fruit bowl and then head into my room. I open my laptop up and sync my phone to it so Betty's number will go into my contacts. I was about to call her but instead she calls me. "I properly seem so desperate" She giggles as she walks down the street. "I was just about to call you" I chuckle. "How was class?" She asks. "Archie and my friend Toni, won't stop teasing me" I smirk. "About what?" She asks, clueless. "You" I grin. "Oh" She giggles as a deep red creeps up onto her cheeks. "What are you up to?" I ask. "Walking home" She says. "You don't take the bus or get a ride?" I ask. "Nope, my house is pretty close to Riverdale High" She grins. "So is my school" I say. "Plus, I like the fresh air" She smirks. I smirk back at her and laugh. "What's so funny?" She asks with a grin. "Your adorable little face" I smirk. Her cheeks go red again as a smile creeps onto her face. "You are so bashful" I smirk. "Am not" She pouts. "Cutie" I grin. Her cheeks go even darker. "Told ya" I say. "Oh be quiet" She giggles. I then see her open a door and go into a house I think. "Hey mom" She says as she runs up the stairs. "Can you show me around your room?" I ask as she enters her bedroom. "It's really pink" She sighs. "I like pink" I grin. She smiles and flips her camera. "My bed, my drawers, my mirror, my bathroom and my window seat" She says as she shows me around. "Wanna see mine?" I ask with a smirk. "Yep!" She says excitingly. I hold my laptop up and show her all my dirty clothes on the ground. "That's clothes island, that's shit mountain (My desk that is cluttered) and this is the best place on earth (My bed)" I say, showing her. She bursts out laughing which was seriously the cutest thing. "Betty!" Someone yells. "Juggie, I'm so sorry, I have to go" She sighs. "Juggie?" I smirk. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry" She says. "No, I like it" I grin. She breathes out in relief and then smiles. "Talk later?" She asks. I smile and nod. "Bye" She says and hangs up. 

Betty's pov:

"Come and help make dinner" My sister says as she pokes her head through the door. "Really!?" I groan. "Yes, come on" She says. "Can't you do it" I say. "No, now hurry up" She says. I walk out to the kitchen to see Mom cooking chicken while my sister was setting the table. "Can you make the salad, honey" My mom says. "Do I have to?" I ask. "Elizabeth, salad" She snaps. I roll my eyes   and start making the salad. "B!" Veronica screams as she runs into my house. "Veronica, what are you doing here?" My mom asks. "B, he fucking loves you!" She screams. "Language!" Mom shouts. "He?" Polly asks. "Outside" I say as I drag Veronica with me. "What do you mean?" I ask as I shut the front door. "He just rung me and wouldn't stop talking about how fucking cute you are!" She squeals. "Really?" I ask. "He loves you!" She screams. "For goodness sake Veronica, he doesn't love me" I say. She grabs out her phone and types something into it. "Jughead, do you love Betty!?" She says through her phone. "Something is different about her, something amazing, I mean I just met her but I think I'm close" He replies. "And Betty" She says as she turns the phone. "Veronica!" He yells. "V, no!" I shout. "I'm a matchmaker" She says proudly. "Jug, I'm so sorry" I sigh. "I-" He stutters. "I got to go" I sigh as I shove V's phone into her chest. "Go home" I say as I run inside. "What was that all about" My mom asks as I go back to making the salad. "Nothing" I lie as a grin appears on my face.
