Part 13- Goodbye... again

Jug's pov:

The worst part of the trip had officially come... leaving. "Please, Jug" Betty cries as I pack my things into my suitcase. "Baby, I was going to pack last night but you wouldn't let me so now I have to do it now, then we can cuddle". "Just don't go" She cries louder. "I have to go back to school, Betty". She looks down and wipes her tears. "Why don't you come help me" I sigh as I motion her over. She stumbles towards me and sits in my lap. "Want this hoodie?" I ask as I hand her the grey one. She nods and holds it tightly. I slightly smile and then place more of my clothes in the suitcase.

"Are you almost ready?" Archie whispers as he comes in to see Betty cuddled up, sleeping on my chest. I nod with a sad expression. "How's Ronnie?" I whisper. "Not good, She is really upset" He sighs. "God" I murmur as I brush the hair from Betty's face. "I'll take your suitcase down" Archie says as he pulls it out of the room. "Baby" I whisper in Betty's ear. "We need to get going". And with that the water works start again. "No!" She cries out as she tightens her grip. "We have too, Princess". "But, Juggie". I slowly move her arms form around my torso and then wiggle out of her embrace. "Juggie!" She cries louder. "I need to go downstairs, you can stay here or come with me" I say strongly. She gets up and grabs my hand that was extended out to her. I move her in front of me and pick her up so her legs were around my torso. She huddles her head into the crook of my neck as I leave the bedroom. "Is she still sleeping?" Archie asks quietly. I shake my head and kiss the side of her head. "Where's Ronnie?". "In the car sobbing" He sighs. "Want me to drive?" I ask. "No, Stay with me!" Betty shouts. "It's fine, bro" He says as he picks up the car keys. "I'm staying with you" She murmurs. "I know, baby, I know".

"You alright, V?" I ask as we get into the car. "No, dumbass!" She shouts and continues crying. I ignore the comment knowing she is just hurting. Betty insisted that she is sat in my lap on the way to the airport and honestly... I was hoping we would get pulled over and then miss the plane, but of course we didn't.

"Carry me" Betty pouts as we get out of the car. "Baby, I have to bring the suitcase". "Juggie!" She cries. I wrap my arms around her waist and plant a kiss to the side of her head. "Once I put my baggage through then I will carry you, I promise" I murmur. She tightens her arms around my neck with a sniffle. "Jug, Come on" Archie says as Veronica clings to his side. "Betts, Baby". She releases her arms from around me but clings onto my left arm. I grab my suitcase and follow Ronnie and Archie inside the airport.

"Can you carry me now" Betty asks as I put the baggage through. I nod and pick her up. "Can we eat?" V sniffles. "Yeah, Come on" Archie chuckles softly. "What do you want, Bub?" I whisper. "Not hungry" she murmurs. Everyone was staring at Betty and I as I carried her through the airport but I couldn't give a shit. As we get to the mini restaurant that was located near our boarding spot, I slowly place Betty down. "Jug" She pouts. I sit down in a seat and open my arms. She sits down on my lap so I slide my arms around her waist. "What are you guys getting?" V asks quietly. Betty shrugs as she places her hands on my mine. "Probably the burger" I mumble. "I'm tired" Betty murmurs as she wipes her eyes. "Turn around". She turns around and straddles my lap as she hides her face in my shoulder. "I'll go order" Archie says as he stands up. "Betty, You sure you don't want anything?" He asks. "Fries" She whispers to me. "Just fries" I chuckle softly. He nods and goes to the counter while Ronnie follows him. "Why don't you come and sit over here, Our food will be here soon" I point to the seat next to me. "Juggie" She whines. "I can't eat if you are on my lap, Baby" I whisper. That's when I hear her soft cries again. 'Fuck'. "Bub, I'm so sorry" I murmur as I tighten my arms around her. "I just don't want to be apart" She cries quietly. "I don't either, Princess, I'm so sorry". "Is she alright?" Archie mouths. I shake my head. He sadly smiles and sits down.

"Baby, Food's here". She pulls her head off my shoulder and goes to climb off my lap. I pull her back down so her back was against my chest. "Thank you" She murmurs and then starts eating her fries.

Betty's pov:

"No, Please!" I cry as I hug Jug near the boarding gate. "Princess, Everything is going to fine, I'll come over soon" He says and I can just tell he is about to cry too. I jump into his arms as he lifts me up (so my legs are around his torso) I am crying so hard that I feel like I can't breath. "I'm gonna miss you so much" Jug cries quietly. "Me too" I sob. I pull my head back a little and we kiss for the last time for god knows how long. "Bye, Princess" Jug says as he puts me down. "Juggie" I cry as I hug his neck. "Baby, Please" He struggles. I can feel everyone looking at me but I don't care. I release my arms from around his neck and then hug Veronica tightly. I watch Jug and Arch make their way over to the boarding gate. They were almost around the corner when they turn to each other and then to us. I let go of V and stare straight into Jug's eyes. I feel the tears still streaming down my face like a river. "Fuck, I can't" I hear Jug say as he starts walking back towards me. I run the remaining distance and jump back into his arms. "You can't leave, You just can't" I sob. "Last call!" A woman yells from the stand. "I'm sorry, baby" Jug says. I nod and he puts me down slowly. "Be safe" I say as he wipes my tears away with his thumb. "You too, princess" Jug says and then starts walking away. "I love you" I whisper as I wipe my tears. "I love you too" Jug says, turning around. I blow a kiss towards him and then he leaves with Arch.

"I don't know what to do" V says as we walk outside. "I feel lost" I murmur. "Want me to drive?" She asks. I nod and climb into the passenger side. "I feel like I'm going to faint" I say as I take deep breathes. She grabs my hand and smiles softly. "Come stay at mine tonight". And with that we headed back to V's feeling lost and heartbroken.
