Part 6- If only you loved me in that way

(2 am)

Betty's pov:

I wake up breathing heavily while feeling like I want to cry. I sit up and burry my head in my hands. "Juggie" I whisper. "Juggie" I repeat but a little louder. "Betts?" He groans. "I'm scared" I whisper. "What happened?" He asks as he rubs his eyes. "Nightmare" I murmur. He sits up and side hugs me. "I'm sorry" I mumble. "Don't be sorry" he says as he places a kiss to my temple. He lies back down and pulls me onto his stomach. "I'm going to hurt you" I say as I try to get off him. "No you're not" He says as he tightens his arms around me. I burry my head into his chest and I immediately feel safe. "Night, beautiful" He whispers. "Love you" I mumble and then almost fall asleep. "If only you loved me in that way" He sighs and then I assume he closes his eyes. 'Shit, I was not meant to hear that, Wait! did he just say what I think he just said!?'

I didn't get much sleep that night 1. Because of the nightmare and 2. The thing that come out of Jugs mouth that I was not meant to hear. I move out of Jug's arms and quietly head downstairs. "Morning, B" V smiles as I sit next to her on the couch. "How's Lover boy?" She asks. "I need to tell you something but you can't freak out because he doesn't know" I whisper. "Okay, tell me!" She says. "Last night I had a nightmare I said I love him like I normally do and when Jughead thought I went back to sleep he said 'If only you loved me in that way' and I know I wasn't meant to hear it but it just keeps repeating over and over in my head" I whisper. "Oh my god" V says quietly. "He loves you" She whispers. "I don't know what to do" I say. "Can I confront him?" She asks. "No, absolutley not" I demand. "Your never going to do it" She whines. "I will, but not yet" I mumble. "Sure you will" She says as she goes into the kitchen. "Morning, Betty" Archie smiles as he hands me a plate of toast. "You didn't have too" I smile. "Its all good" He says as he turns on the tv. "Hey, do you know where Jug is?" He asks. "Still sleeping I presume" I say. "Can you maybe go and get him?" He asks. "Yeah, sure" I smile as I get up and run up the stairs. I open his door and see him sleeping peacefully. "Juggie?" I whisper. I brush his hair from his face and place a light kiss on his cheek. He starts moving around and then mumbles something. "What?" I ask. "Can you stay here with me" He murmurs. "Archie wants to talk" I chuckle. "Ugh!" He groans as he sits up. "I'll meet you down stairs" I smirk and then walk out the door. "He's coming" I say to Archie. I sit back down and continue eating my toast. Next minuet we hear Jug stomping down the stairs with a pissed off expression on his face. "I hate you, I hate you and I don't hate you" He says as he points to Archie, Veronica and then me. "He always does this" Veronica laughs. "Coffee" He says as he sticks his hand out. "Here you go lazy ass" V says as she hands him a cup of coffee. "Thank you" He grins as he sits next to me. "Want toast" I say as I offer him a piece of mine. "No, I'll get my own soon" he says. "Alright" I smile. "So today I was thinking we could go to the movies" V suggests. "Sounds good" We all say. "We're watching a horror though" She smirks. 'I hate horrors and I know V knows this' "Also, If anyone gets scared just remember that we are all here" She grins at me. 'That fucking bitch' I think. "We can go out for a late lunch and then go to the movie at 3" V says with a smug smirk on her face. 

(2:00 pm)

Jug's povs:

"All ready to go?" I ask as we all get downstairs. "Yep, hurry up" V says as she skips towards the car. "Whats up with her?" I whisper to Betty. "Nothing" She says and I can tell she is lying but I decide to drop it. Once we get to the small diner we all went over to a booth. "I want to sit next to Juggie" Betty pouts as Archie sits next to me. "Alight" Archie chuckles and then moves. She sits next to me while lightly placing her head on my shoulder  "You alright?" I whisper to her. "Mm" She murmurs. Once our food came we all ate pretty quickly because we needed to get to the movie. "Who's ready to be scared!" V squeals as we walk into the cinema. "I hear this movie is one of the scariest" Archie smirks. Betty grabs my hand and squeezes it tight. "Are you all right?" I ask her. "Yep" She smiles but I can tell she is lying. "I'm gonna go get the popcorn!" Veronica yells as she runs up to the snack counter. "Let's go in" Archie says so we follow him to cinema 5. Once we got to our seats Betty sat on the wall side and I sat next to her with Archie beside me. "I'm back" Veronica whispers as she passes me the popcorn. "Yeah, we can see that" Betty snaps. "Whoa, calm down" V responds. Betty scowls at her and then pulls her knees up under her chin. Once the movie started I have to admit it was scary straight off the bat. Like I wasn't scared but it was pretty scary. Betty kept jumping at every part and a few times she slapped her hand over her mouth to I assume stop her from screaming. "Come here" I whisper. "W-what" She stutters. "Come into my lap" I whisper back. Surprisingly she doesn't object but instead she climbs over quickly and sits in my lap. "I'm scared" She whispers. "Your safe with me, I  promise" I say as I wrap my arms around her. She turns to her side and wraps her arms around my neck while nuzzling her head into the crook of my neck. I can see V smirking at us while Archie is totally oblivious. Someone jumps out of the bush with an axe and Betty totally looses it. She jumps while letting out a small cry. "Don't be scared, beautiful" I say as I kiss the side of her head. She tightens her grip around me as she slightly shakes. "We're going" I whisper to Archie as I pick Betty up and carry her out of the cinema. "I'm s-sorry" She sobs. "Hey, its fine, I promise" I say as I sit on one of the seats with her in my lap. "I don't like scary movies" She cries. "I know" I say softly. "You can go back in" She says as she slowly calms down. "I'm not going anywhere" I say as I slowly rock back and forward. "I'm such a baby" She whispers. "No, your human" I say quietly. "Why don't we go on a small walk, yeah?" I suggest. "Yeah" She whispers. I slowly pick her up off my lap and place her next to me. I stand up and grab her hand. We both walk out of the cinema and start walking slowly down the street. "You okay now?" I ask. "I'm better" She smiles. "There's a park over there, do you want to go?" I ask. "Sounds good" She grins. We cross the street and walk over to the small park. "I'm sorry about making you watch the movie, I didn't even realise" I sigh. "You didn't make me" She giggles. "Yeah, but I didn't stop it" I murmur. "Because you didn't know" She smiles. "I still hate myself for it" I mumble. "Come sit down" She says as she pulls me down onto the grass. I pull her into my lap having her back against my torso. "Don't feel bad" She says as she squeezes my hands. "Your so beautiful" I murmur into her neck. "Stop" She giggles. "You are" I whisper. "Juggie, can I admit something" She whispers back. "Yeah, of course" I say starting to feel a bit worried. "I heard you last night" She murmurs. "What?" I ask. "After my nightmare, you said something" She mumbles. "What did I say?" I question.  "If only you loved me in that way" She mumbles. 'Holy fuck'  "Uh, I-" I stutter. She turns around so she is straddling me and lightly smiles. "Did you mean it?" She asks. "I was really tired" I lie. "So if I did something it wouldn't mean anything?" She asks. "It depends" I say. 

Betty's pov:

I could tell he was so nervous because he took his hands off my waist and lightly placed them to the side. "Maybe I do love you in that way" I smile and before he can say anything I softly place my lips onto his. He kisses back so I deepen it more. The way our lips moved in sync, it was truly amazing. "Wow" He says as we break away from the kiss. "So, did that mean nothing?" I grin. "God" He breaths out. I lightly place my lips back onto his again and then pull away. "What?" I grin. "Y-you-" He trembles. "Juggie" I giggle. "Y-you l-like me?" He stutters. "Of course I do" I grin. "Really, you like me?" He asks. "How could I not" I smirk as I peck his lips. He still looks so stunned and I can't help but giggle. "We should head back" I say as I stand up off his lap. "Y-yeah" He stutters again. I pull him up and start giggling again. "What?" He asks. "You look star struck" I giggle. "I am" He says still stunned. "So, are you going to ask me?" I ask with a grin. he looks at me with risen eyebrows but then it finally clicks in his brain. "Betty Cooper, Will you be my girlfriend?" He asks with a huge smile. "Of course" I smirk. "Can I kiss you again?" He asks softly. "Yeah" I grin. He places his lips onto mine and then moves his hands to cup my face. "W-we h-have t-o-o g-go" I say in-between kisses. "Alright" He smirks. "Hey, Guys" V says as we reach the cinema. "Hi" I smile. "Sorry about running out" I sigh. "It's all good" Archie says. "What did you guys do?" V smirks. "Nothing" I lie. "Just a walk" Jug covers. V nods. We walk over to the car and drive back too the house. "I want to take you on a date" Jug whispers almost silently. "Sounds good" I whisper back with a huge smile. "What's the time?" I ask. "Almost 7" Archie says as we enter the house. "Can we go to the theme parks tomorrow" V pleads. "Of course, Babe" Archie says as he side hugs her. "So theme parks tomorrow" Archie says. We all nod and start watching a random movie on Netflix.

(9:00 pm)

 "I'm going to go to bed" I say as I rub my eyes. "Night, B" V yawns. "Night" I murmur. "I'll be up soon" Jug whispers. I nod and stand up. I walk up the stairs and then into my room. I put on some Pj's and then walk into Jug's room. I climb under the covers and within minuets I have completely passed out. I feel the bed dip beside me so I know Jug has came in. I quickly lay my head on his chest and wrap my arm around his torso. "Night, Cutie" He whispers. "Night, Juggie" I whisper and then I fall asleep again.
