Underneath Inkopolis...
It was an ordinary day for the Octarians. The kind of routine that would involve taking turns practising and having breaks, repeated until the twenty-four-hour period had ended. That was 100 years after the Octarians lost the Great Turf War and 2 since they lost their mighty leader.
"Your presence is needed in the main room." a solider reminded the Octoling boy.
"Thanks for telling me!" he exclaimed.
Wasting no time, the cephalopod darted to where his presence was needed. Bursting open the door, his cantaloupe-orange orbs met cerulean. Shots of dark fuchsia ink barely missed him the moment he entered,
"Have you ever learned how to knock?!" an Octoling questioned, frustrated.
"I-I-I'm so so so so sorry!" the Octopus apologised.
"Ah, it's you. The reason you're here is because I want you to plan our next move."
"M-m-me?! P-plan?! N-n-n-nonsense!"
"Look. Your parents were the smartest Octolings I knew. I'm sure you have inherited their intelligence."
"Thank you. That means a lot, coming from you." he thanked them.
"I want you to decide how we take back the Great Zapfish."

Inkopolis Plaza was akin to a ghost town. Only 2 years had passed since Agent 3 saved the square and brought back the Zapfish. Ever since the Splatfests ended, everyone had started to move away. 3 heard that there was a new plaza, Inkopolis Square. As the sun began to set, she received a message from Callie.
1 UNREAD MESSAGE
Callie: Hey~! Tomorrow, you and Gramps are gonna go on vacation!
Wafa: I never agreed to this...
Callie: Oh come on! How bad can it be?
When Wafa got her reply and read it, she suddenly had a bad feeling about this 'vacation'.
"Callie's right, how bad can this be?" she thought.
The Next Day...
Early in the morning, Agent 3 got ready for this 'vacation'. Grabbing her SquidPhone, the Inkling bolted out of her apartment and to Inkopolis Plaza. After slipping through the manhole, she was greeted by Captain Cuttlefish and Marie.
"Where's Callie?" Wafa queried.
"After I won the final Splatfest, she's been making guest appearances on variety shows." Marie told her. "The second Callie became a TV drama actress, we started spending less time together. Maybe it has something to do with her losing."
"Why don't you two just go on a vacation?"
"Yeah, I like the sound of that."
*cough* *cough*
