Her head throbbed annoyingly. The gentle hum of an engine surrounded her, consuming Rebekah's thoughts. The repetitive sound lulled her to sleep, like a childhood lullaby. It was peaceful, meditative. Her left hand reached up to feel the rough dry towel that still encircled her body, why wasn't she dressed?
Her peace was shattered when the car took a quick left turn and her head slammed into the passenger window, jarring her froggy mind awake.
"My utmost apologies." The deep voice, scratchy from years of cigarette smoke held nothing but sarcasm, and the small smirk that his lips formed into was slightly hidden by the late evening rays that assaulted the car lighting everything in an orange soft glow.
And yet this scene was not calming to Rebekah in the slightest her mind started to race as she connected the dots to where she was. Everything came rushing back to her. This man was not a friend. This man was her captor.
The stranger that set next to her, the one that had stolen her out of her own home was scratching his blonde yet course beard, exposing his neck to Rebekah. A tattoo wound its away up his neck and stopped at the location of the external jugular vein. The dark black ink was rich in color, almost metallic like, shinning as if it had a movement all its own. She watched as he swallowed his prominent Adam's apple bobbing up and down. Her heart raced and perspiration beaded down her back.
Who was this man that set across from her? More importantly, what did he want? Her fear gripped at her heart, it felt as if tendrils found their way around all of her vital organs. Wrapping around them tightly, squeezing the life out of her.
Thinking only of her freedom, and the consuming fear Bekah saw this moment as a great opportunity to escape. Clearly not thinking straight Rebekah's slowly reached up to find the door handle, the coldness to the metal piercing her pale shaking hands. She didn't dare look at the speedometer, she could feel the car racing over the road and knew that they were traveling at a very quick speed.
Before her thoughts and fears overran her she yanked the handle towards her and flung open the door. The wind rushed around her tossing her into wild chaos. Her auburn hair wiped around wildly, and she leaned out and over the car. She felt the towel slip down her body, exposing more of her breast.
"What the hell is your problem?" The man roughly grabbed a handful of her knotted hair and yanked her small frame back. His firm, large hand kept her immobile as the car door slammed to a close from the rushing air.
Noticing her disheveled shape the blonde man cough signaling for her to adjust the dry towel. Not having the strength to do much of anything Bekha sat imotionless, not caring that she was pretty much naked next to a complete stranger.
Her fear grew as thoughts started to run through her mind about what was goin to happen. Her panic rose and quickly overtook her. Letting her eyes widened she dropped her jaw and let out a piercing scream, fighting against his harsh hold she twisted and jerked her body from right to left.
He had smelled it first, before she even knew what was happening to her own body. The wound on her thigh had reopened, letting her sweet smelling blood trickle out of the rugged edge of torn flesh and drip down her milky white skin.
It surly hurt the girl, he thought, and yet she is still fighting.
The blood was overwhelming his senses, he needed the nuisance to stop. She was only causing more harm then good. The blood stained the leather seats soaking in quickly and running off on to the floor board.
"Let me go!" She fought even harder as a slight pain erupted in her upper thigh. It was not till she felt something trickle down her legs did she halt her useless fight against the large man.
