Love at First Sight

Sonic and Rouge arrive at the shack.

"Welp, this is it, welcome to my humble shack."

Knuckles comes out of the shack and yawns.

"Hey-ya Sonic, I totally slept in your shack, seeing as how I don't have my own place and you weren't around. Hope that's okaaaayyyy."

His jaw drops. Everything around him becomes radiant and glorious. Butterflies flutter, dolphins jump out of the ocean, rainbows form... as he gazes at the most beautiful gal he's ever laid his eyes upon.

Rouge swoons, "Angel Island, you finally answered my prayers!"

Her eyes fill with hearts, everything around her seems to go pink and red. Birds sing, flowers bloom, shooting stars fly by... as she gazes at the most handsome guy she's ever laid her eyes upon.

"Um, hello?" Sonic asks, hopping in-between them and waving his arms. "Earth to both of you? Yeah. Um, right, so Rouge, this is Knuckles, Knuckles, this is Rouge... aaaanndd I no longer exist."

He zooms out of the way as Knuckles and Rouge rush to each other and stop a few inches away to gawk up close.

"Me Echidna the Knuckles. Have muscles and like sparkle things that, you pretty, me want to give things to sparkle you."

Rouge reaches for his arm, gives it a playful squeeze and causes them both the shutter with pleasure.

"Rouge the Bat. Marry me... I mean, merry Christmas, Rouge the Bat! Santa came early with a present I need to unwrap. Right. Now. Oh! Care for a scone, demigod?"

She hands him a scone. He eats it then stares at her more. The two are nearly drooling.

Sonic tries to tell them, "I'm gonna make a run to the village and see if all the drama's died down. Not that you two care. It's cool. Be sure to give me credit for hooking you both up once you set a date for the wedding. Adios!"

He zooms away.
