"Now, a covalent bond involves the sharing of-----"

You have no idea why, but you were pretty sure you were out of your mind when you decided to sign up for chemistry classes that took place early in the morning. Not to mention this was an AP class. Of course, this class was a breeze for you, but that doesn't mean you wanted to deal with it THIS early in the morning. You would MUCH rather prefer hearing your mom talking about plants and trees that sit even 10 minutes in this class.

".......Ms. Y/L/N, would you care to explain why this is so?"

You were so busy mentally cursing your past self for this torture, you didn't even notice that your chemistry teacher had asked the class a question. He must have noticed the frustrated spaced-out look on your face.

It also didn't help that you sat in the very front, making you one of the first people he would see.

You look at the drawing and terms on the board. The teacher helped you out and pointed to the question he was asking, which was dealing with the bond of water.

"Um," you began, "water is a hydrogen bond due to it being made up of 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atom. It is also a covalent bond because the electrons are shared where the hydrogen atoms are bonded with the oxygen atom; however, it is a polar covalent bond because the electrons are unequally shared."

You swear you can feel your face turn a bright blush pink as you felt everyone's eyes on your entire backside. You heard someone whistle and whisper, "She is one smart babe" a few rows behind you. Even the teacher stares at you with wide eyes, because not only did you get it right, but you also didn't cover polar and nonpolar bonds. As a matter of fact, NO ONE in the class had heard of those terms until that moment.

Your teacher quickly snapped out of it and said, "Well, you are absolutely correct! That was also the next section we are going to cover!"

Please please PLEEEEAAAAASE don't teach that right now.

"However," your teacher continued, "due to the lack of time, I only have enough time to assign you partners for your upcoming project at the end of this lesson."

Crap. You forgot that you had a midterm project coming up. Which meant you had to interact. With another human. For 3 months. And present with them. There was no option to work alone, and the max limit of people was 3 per group. There were some who were absolute idiots and pains, and other who were actually quiet. Either way, you wanted no one but you and yourself. You secretly prayed that the teacher would at least have some decency in picking who you will work with and continued writing the new notes that the teacher wrote on the board.

~~~~~~~
With 3 minutes left of class, your teacher starts to call out the pairs for the project. In no time, your name is called.
"Okkkkk Y/N..." your teacher begins.
Uh oh.
Here we go.
"...your partner is..."
Please don't let it be a complete idiot please don't let it be a complete idiot please don't let it be a complete idiot
".......Hoseok. You will be paired with Hoseok for this project." And right on cue, you hear a soft "Yesssssssssssss" behind you.
Now, you know who he is. He actually isn't bad. Hoseok is a happy, bright, and cheerful boy..........too cheerful. That's where you have a problem. You have NO idea how he can be like that basically everyday. But you DO know that this chemistry class silences it for the length the class goes on.
