About an hour passed as you three were brainstorming on what to do about the topic you and Hoseok already came up with. However, you were quite confused.

It wasn't the ideas you were confused about. It was the fact that Jimin has not tried anything to mess with you. Hoseok had also noticed the boy's lack of seduction towards you. Nevertheless, you carried on in discussing ideas.

What surprised you was how smart Jimin was. It had never crossed your mind that he was THIS smart. You had to catch yourself from going bug-eyed at the inputs he gave a few times. If anything....you found it very interesting.

Hoseok interrupts your thoughts and says, "Jimin.....how and when the heck did you know all this stuff. I am going to be frank and say I did not expect this at all."

"Heh," Jimin says shyly, "there's a lot you don't know about me. Maybe if you took the time to know..." he paused to look at you.

Oh boy, did your heart flutter.

Those EYES.

Nononononono BAD Y/N. FOCUS.

Hoseok noticed the glance towards you, and cleared his throat. "Regardless, at least you aren't useless." You turn to look at Hoseok, a bit surprised he said something like that. He takes notice and says, "Look, we need to get as much planning done today as possible. We don't have that time to 'get to know you' and play 20 questions or something like that."

Huh? Then........what was Hoseok previously doing before Jimin came? Also, the end of the semester is months away...........

"Hoseok," you start, "why are yo---"

You are interrupted by Hoseok's cell phone ringing. He looks at the name, and excuses himself. Leaving you with Jimin.

Alone.

You internally pray that he doesn't reach across the table or something and hope that Hoseok's phone call is short.

"So." Jimin says suddenly. "What do you think of all of this?"

Uh oh...he's asking questions.

"Uh, I guess it's ok." you reply. "And y-you had great ideas too."

Jimin smiles at you with his pearly whites, slightly cocking his head to the side. "Why, thank you."

That SMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILE.

"Is it ok if I ask you something?" he asks.

Ooooooooooooooh no this can't be good.

"It depends." you say, attempting to be serious. Instead, it came out like a squeak.

Great.

Jimin pauses for a moment and asks, "Do you have a love for books?"

......THAT was random.......

"Why?" you ask.

"Y/N." Jimin says. Goodness, even the way he says your NAME makes it hard for you not to turn red. Nevertheless, you try to keep it in check. "It's just a simple question."

You guess he has a point, so you sigh and answer, "I do. Ever since I was a little kid. I also like being in libraries, simply to look at them lined up in shelves. I know it's weird, don't even try joking on me."

"I'm not. I just wanted to know." he says. "Do you have a favorite genre?" Somehow, the tension you had of his questions slowly melted away as you answered. You figured that these were genuine questions that couldn't cause any harm. Plus, it would be weird if he tried to seduce you with books. Who DOES that?

As you answered his questions, without knowing it you began to ask about him in the aspects of books. You found out that he was in love with comics, especially when he was a kid. Nowadays, he prefers movies of different genres. This shocked you. Not just the preferences, but because it is JIMIN. You two went on about different medias for what seemed like 15 minutes when in reality it was only 5.

And...to be honest...you were actually enjoying it.

"Alright. I apologize for leaving you alone, Y/N." you hear Hoseok say as he walks back in the room.

"Wow. Did you forget I'm here too?" Jimin says pretending to be hurt.

"Even though you are in the group, you are still irrelevant. Period." Hoseok answers without sparing a glance at Jimin. "Now, let's rap up. My family is coming back soon."

~~~~~~~
After a few minutes of going through what each of you are to research to get started, it was finally time to go. Jimin got up to leave first, and before he opened the door, Hoseok stopped him.
"You better not had tried ANYTHING with her. If you did, I swear to you now I will make you regret it." he said warningly.
Jimin scoffs and smirks. "I didn't 'try' anything. In fact, she was great company." he says as he walks out the door.
Little did they know, you were right behind them, listening to ever word. To prevent Hoseok from realizing you heard, you walk to the couch to pretend to pick up something, then walk to the door.
"Thanks Hoseok for allowing us to be here" you say, patting his shoulder.
"He didn't do anything to you, right?" he asks, completely ignoring what you said. You answer no and he sighs. "Sorry. I just........I don't want you to be......you know....."
"It's ok," you assure him. "Nothing happened."
"Ok." he says and gives a small smile. "Same time and date next week?" he asks you as you step outside.
You turn back and answer, "Sure." and turn back around to walk home.
However, you had a feeling he was staring at you all the way to the corner of the street, which was 4 houses down, before you turned it. You turned back to see if he was, and sure enough, he was staring dead at you. As you made eye contact, he closed the door.
How odd...
You appreciated how he looked after you like that, but.....was all of what happened necessary? Also, what was that staring for? Something isn't adding up.
What is going on with Hoseok?
