"This is a bad idea.," Gwyneth said. "I mean how old are these kings and queens going to be? 50?"

Caspian rolled his eyes. "Be quiet, Gwyn.." He looked around for a moment before seeing the badger, Trufflehunter wasn't making much of an effort to hide from the prince. "We can see you," He said as Trufflehunter and the grumpy dwarf Nikabrik appeared from behind the tree.

"I just think that we should wait for the kings and queens," Trufflehunter said to Caspian who was pretending to listen but really just wanted for the two of them to disappear. The badger's voice could be heard once more as he turned his back and took a few steps. "Fine, go then! We'll see if the others are as understanding,

"The minotaurs will be as stubborn as I remember, if not even worse then that," Nikabrik added.

Gwyneth stopped in the middle of a step as she heard what the dwarf said. She turned around slowly. "Minotaurs? They're still among us?" She asked, eyes wide and mannerisms of a five-year-old.

"They do have an extremely bad temper.. but yes they are your majesty," Trufflehunter said as he walked past the two teenagers as if he was the one leading the way.

"Not to mention that they are big.," Nikabrik added as Gwyneth narrowed her eyes on the short man as he walked off with Trufflehunter.

"Huge," The badger added.

"Hmmm.. maybe they are even bigger than your ego, Cas," Gwyneth laughed quietly, receiving a quick glare from her brother. "What about the centaurs then?" She continued to ask.

"Well I think that the centaurs probably will fight on your side, but there is no telling about what the others might do.

"What about Aslan?" Caspian said as everyone turned to look at him.

Nikabrik gave him one of his grumpy looks once more. "How do you know so much about us?

"I've heard a few stories.."

Trufflehunter looked in surprise. "W-Wait..  Your father told you stories about Narnia?"

"No, our professor.. Listen I'm sorry, but these aren't the kind of questions you should be asking.." Caspian grabbed his sister's hand and pulled her past the two narnians.

Trufflehunter took a few sniffs in the air before the expression of distress appeared on his face. "What is it?" Nikabrik asked.

"Humans,

"We have two here.." Nikabrik said as he gestured to the two teenagers.

"No, them!" The badger said as he pointed towards the line of Telmarine bowmen approaching them.

Gwyneth's eyes went wide before she turned around rapidly, rushing as fast as she could away from her former protectors. She could see that they actually were shooting as the arrows hit the trees in front of them.

"AH!" Trufflehunter yelped as he fell forward and crumbled around the sprouting plants around him. He was shot. "Shit.." Gwyneth murmured as she unconsciously slowed down her pace. "Run, I'll take him!" Caspian shouted.

Gwyneth ran a few steps more before she heard something she never thought she would hear. The Telmarines the ran after them were now the ones screaming as they continued to look at the ground. Before the other ones even knew what was happening one was on the ground. She continued to watch as the soldiers one by one fell to the ground.

Caspian had the same expression on his face as Gwyneth had on hers. He picked up the wounded badger over his shoulder and quickly ran back to his sister. The soldiers continued to fall to the ground like flies until there was only one left. "Get him out of here," Caspian said as he passed over the badger to his sister as he drew his sword. Gwyneth in her turn handed Trufflehunter down to Nikabrik to take care of, as she as well as Caspain drew her sword while looking around with a frantic expression on her face.

The last soldier fell to the ground with a thud and the rustling of the plants now came closer and closer to them.

"Not another step Gwyn, do you hear me?"Caspian shouted at his sister who obeyed without argument. She watched as the culprit jumped up at her brother and he fell to the ground.

"Choose your last words carefully, Telmarine!" The mouse yelled at Caspian who looked more or less shell-shocked.

"You are a mouse," Caspian said as Gwyneth sighed heavily. For goodness sake...

Gwyneth spoke up. "Excus-" "Reepicheep!" She was cut off by Trufflehunter who could now stand on his own legs with some support from Nikabrik. "Stay your blade,"

"Trufflehunter? I hope you have a reason for your untimely interruption," The mouse, Reepicheep snapped, as Gwyneth gave her brother a hand to help him get up.

"He's the one, the one who blew the horn," The badger finished. The mouse now looked up in awe at Caspian and Gwyneth.

"Then let him bring it forward," Gwyn jumped as she turned around to look at the one who had spoken. A centaur. She squeezed Caspian's arm lightly. There ware a couple more centaurs that appeared from behind the trees. Followed by some fawns and minotaurs. "This is the reason all of us have gathered,"

"So all of this is our fault.." Gwyneth murmured to herself.
