A few days after the talk in your office with Bones and Uhura you had built enough nerve for the appointment as it was now Monday. You had also been doing some more shifts than usual in the med bay due to a sickness that was going through the crew which left them being ill for a few days then they became immune to it. You had missed catching it due to the time off but the rest of the nurses had caught it so you were taking on some of there shifts as you felt it your job being the head nurse which helped you get your mind of everything but it also brought today on a lot quicker.

You took a shaky breath as you knocked on his office door. You had been avoiding him the past few days so you were worried he would have noticed.
"Enter" came the same monotone voice that you had heard for a month and you entered cautiously but he was exactly the same as alway behind his desk focused on his work. You closed the door and placed your bag down, read through your notes as usual and then began the message as normal.
You were about 45 minutes through the messages meaning you were getting towards the end which meant you were on his neck as it was one of the less problem arias. Due to the lack of sleep for the past few days for obvious reasons you weren't paying as close attention as you would normally and suddenly you felt something more soft than his neck usually is and then him jump up into a standing position. The shock from it causes you to fall down to the side onto the floor. You had clipped you nail against your face on the way down from the shock and your cheek had began to bleed slightly from the small cut that was there. tour hand flew to cover your bleeding cheek so he didn't see the colour of your blood. You looked up with tears in your eyes at him in confusion only to understand instantly what you had just done from the look on his face. He had fire in his eyes and a slight green tinge to his ears...

You had just rubbed his ears. The tears fell from my eyes at your mistake and you scrambled to your feet grabbed your PADD from the chair it was lay on and bolted from his office ensuring to keep your hand over your cheek the entire time but a small drop of blood fell on the floor which Spock saw and became confused. Ignoring the stares that you got from the crew members you passed in the hallways on your way back to your room. The second you got inside you fell to the floor and leant against your door trying to calm down not even noticing yet you were bleeding onto it.

'I'm dead'

Few day time skip!

You had thrown your self into work avoiding Spock at any cost. It was Monday but you had just complete three shifts in a row and were starting your fourth. Even though Bones protested he could see you were dealing with some things and you weren't ready to be asked. You had had little to no sleep over the past few days and while sat in your office working you hadn't notice that it was 4pm. You couldn't hold it together any more and lay your head down for a second to rest but fell asleep immediately.

Spocks point of view:

15 minutes had past since it became 4pm. You weren't usually late. He sighed and left his office to head to the med bay to see if anything happened he hadn't seen you since your last meeting and was becoming curious where you were as it wasn't normal for him not to see you at least in the corridor. He had also not had time to talk to you about what had occurred at the last session and clear things up and also discuss the blood he had seen on his floor from the cut on your cheek. On top of everything you had left your bag in his office and from the look of it it seemed rather old but cared for which only made him grow more curious about you.

He entered the med bay clutching the bag gently and saw Bones look at him with a mix of anger and concern. Spock walked to him and looked to the bag.
"I was hoping you would be able to tell me where nurse y/l/n is. I am meant to have a appointment with her now." Bones just nodded thoughtfully. He knew about the appointments and that it wasn't like you to miss one.
"I haven't seen her leave yet so she should be in her office" Bones said pointing to her office then gave Spock a glare. "I hope your not here to yell at my best nurse for missing one appointment" he said protectively crossing his arms. Spock looked at him turning his head slightly.
"I understood that this could occur after she told me about her schedule. I will simply ask for it to be changed to another day. Good day doctor" he looked to the office which had the door slightly open and the curtains closed. Spock simply nodded to Bones before walking to your office and looking through the door before walking in and stopping. Seeing your sleeping form on the desk with large stacks of paper littering your desk all around you. He quietly closed the door as not to disturb you. He didn't understand why he didn't simply place the bag down and inform Bones of your state it's just he found you curious which had gotten the best of him. He gently placed your bag next to your desk and walked around to your side seeing a peace of your hair that was tickling you noise was causing you to move slightly in your sleep. He also saw the small cut on your otherwise perfect cheek. He was confused at his thought and focused again when you moved in your sleep again from the hair in your face. He gently moved it back behind your ear and in the process the rest of the hair in that aria with it. He had to know.

He froze.

Your ears... he saw them.

He couldn't comprehend it. When he saw your file it said human. You were also ok with physical contact with your hands. So how was it that your ears looked Vulcan. He snapped out of his thought noticing that his hand had stopped mid motion of moving your hair. He retracted his hand quickly before briskly walking out of your office and closing your door back to its original state before his stopped, standing there thinking. It made sense to him logically to him with how much you knew about Vulcan if he looked at it on paper but how you acted was a complete contradiction to how Vulcans and even how half Vulcans such as himself acted. Bones placed a hand on his shoulder and gripped rather tightly to turn him around. Spock quickly regained his composure.
"She is asleep against her desk Doctor. Why is this?" He asked wanting to know how the most professional seeming nurse to him was asleep while working.
"O god I told you y/n...well I'm not surprised" Bones said the first bit under his breath while walking in a small circle
"Your not surprise?"Spock said raising a eye brown while looking irritated by the doctors slight annoyance at you. wait what. He must just be imagining how he was feeling as he ignored his previous thought he focused back on the doctor.
"Yes she just did 4 shifts in a row with little to no breaks.." Bones said rubbing his temple. A hand on his hip.
"Why would you let her do such a thing. Human body's are not equipped for that kind of amount of work" Spock matter of factually stated Causing bones to role his eyes.
"Of course I wouldn't normally let her do that. It's just the other nurses seem to have caught a bug and they couldn't attend there shifts so y/n took it upon her self to take there shifts but when I told her not to she said that she was the head nurse so should and also she needed to keep her mind of something so she wanted to do the extra work" Bones said sounding annoyed that Spock would think he would let someone that was as close to his sister work her self into this state.
"Very well then. I will send her a email tomorrow to arrange a meeting to discuss some matters that need to be attended to if that is ok with you doctor as she should rest for the rest of the day. Good day doctor" Spock said before nodding at the Bones and walking out of the med bay and back to his office.

He needed to evaluate the situation that had just presented its self to him.

You were part Vulcan but hadn't told anyone..... why. He couldn't get that question out of his head as he got onto the turbo lift to his office.
