She finished, looking quite impressed with herself. I thought she was freaking out. I was freaking out instead. What a turn of events.
"Fucking shit did I really just- proclaim my feelings for someone I have never seen before today, let alone have a conversation with them? This is exactly why people don't like me. Too straightforward, too tall, too sarcastic, too much everything" Now she was on the verge of tears. No no no no no I had to do something. It was bold but hey, got to put yourself out there. With trembling legs, I closed the distance between us and enveloped her in my arms, holding her really tight.
Holy. Fucking. Shit. I can't even explain how that felt. I was expecting, anytime now, for her to shove me away, to send me reeling back into the wall. I couldn't be more wrong. Lynn hugged me tighter than I was hugging her and a sob escaped her throat.
"I just, just, just really like you a lot like and I've never dated anyone and I really reALLY like you im so sorry I'm so sorry!" Her voice fought to be heard amongst all that heavy sighing but I heard it.
"You know what," I said, " I think I like you more than you like me, so-" If I thought her grip was tight then, now it was tougher than iron. Her arms were so long, wrapped around my tiny frame. We must have been quite a sight in that bar.
