KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK, the door was being banged with a fist. And there was my band, waiting right there for me. Dane, Ant, and Nick were all wearing dark leather clothes. God I've taught them well.

"Are ya ready babe?" Nick said, excited to play for the bar again. It was his favorite.

"Alrighty dudes lets fucking destroy it tonight okay? Guys, I mean it. And I told you to not call me babe, I'm gay as hell please let me act like it." I told him, slamming my front door shut. I was greeted by the crisp fall air of New York, tonight was going to kick ass.

I sat shotgun because I was the only girl and I didn't want to drive today. Still shaken up from my encounter with the floor. The bar was only fifteen minutes away, thank goodness. Traffic was light and Ant was a speedy driver. I saw the sign AMITYVILLE BAR, and we were there just like that.

Since we played yesterday, our stuff was already set up. I walked faster than everyone else and I was the first one in. I heard loud music, and I remembered. Karaoke night. There was a girl up there, singing her heart out.

"I feel these limbs are growing cold to numb.

Take a good look at what I've become,

There's a hole in my chest,

And I don't think it's leaving room for anyone.

There's a burning love for me at rest, yeah pounding at the world's on my flesh,

I'm trying my best, just to let it set before I come undone,

oh I CANT SEE, THE WHITES ARE MISSING FROM MY EYES,

I CANT BREATHE, IM DOING EVERYTHING TO BRING THIS BODY BACK TO LIFE"

oh my god wow who was that? I pushed my way through the crowd and I saw her.

It was Lynn Gunn.
