"Thank you, thank you! I dedicate this next song to this one girl I met recently, I think she's really hot and got a great smile! Here it is, Jessie's Girl by Rick Springfield!" I laughed into the microphone, looking for Lynn. There she was, out of breath and point at me with huge goofy grin covering her perfect face. Perfect? Jesus Christ ALEXA BE CHILL.
"I WISH THAT I HAD JESSIES GIRL, WHY CANT I FIND HER MOVIN LIKE THAT?"
Tonight was just a bunch of cover songs I decided. I finished singing and the rest of the band said
"Take 20 everyone." I was thankful. A cup of cold ice water was nearby, and I drained the cup instantly. I felt a pair of arms grip me and I already can tell who it is.
"Lynn, you are so touchy feely what the fuck we met yesterday are you not nervous?" I asked, leaning back into her.
"I decided that in order for me to be not nervous I just have to be myself and it's working great! Plus I mean have you seen yourself? Me, nervous over you, almost three inches taller than you? Hell no." The sass was back.
"Oh? Really? I was sure that yesterday you stuttered really badly, and then cried into my shoulder. But I'm here for you, if you want me to be." I picked my words carefully, awaiting her response. I didn't expect her to grab my hand and hold it in hers lightly. Lynn said quietly,
"Your hand in mine, just like this. It's all I want right now. Can we just, please? Like I don't want this to end."
