Chapter 21

Kauai 10 a.m.
Ethan POV -

I'm woken up by an incoming facetime call. It's mom. I look around and see James still asleep in the passenger seat next to me. Oh yeah.. we slept in the car.

I clear my throat and answer the call. "Hey mom." I say with a raspy voice. "Hi sweetie!" She says with a smile. "Did I wake you up?" She asks. "Yeah, kinda." I answer as I try to fix my hair a bit. James is starting to wake up now as well. "Where are you?" She now asks, seeing I'm not in my bed. "In the car." I say. "I woke you up, but you're in the driver's seat of the car?" She responds. "It's a long and loud story, mom." I chuckle. "Where is your brother?" She continues. "Wait a second." I respond as I get out of the car. "He's here." I add as I walk into the house with a grin on my face.

Kauai 10.05 a.m.
Grayson POV -

"Grayson! Wake up! It's mom. She wants to talk to you!" I hear Ethan say. I rub my eyes and when I slowly open them I see Ethan on his knees at the entrance of the den, holding his phone in front of my face. "What?" I answer disoriented. "Goodmorning sweetheart!" I hear mom say. "Are you guys having fun in Hawaii? Looks like you both had a rough night?!". My brain is still waking up and before I can collect my thoughts Ethan answers: "I had a really rough night, mom. But Grayson had fun last night. So much fun, I'm surprised you didn't hear him having fun all the way in New Jersey." He starts laughing uncontrollably and I can't help to laugh along at his dumb joke.

Y/n is waking up because Ethan is being so loud and starts tossing and turning next to me. "Ethan, tone it down!" I say in an attempt to not wake y/n up. "Tone it down?!" Ethan repeats sarcastically as he starts laughing even louder. I see that mom is not following all these inside jokes and she asks: "So what did you do that was so much fun last night, Grayson?" I look at Ethan and his face is turning red from laughter. He seems to have stopped breathing and is gasping for air. Well shit, so he did hear y/n and me last night. We weren't even that loud. "Can't you invite your brother next time?" Mom continues. Ethan and I lock eyes. Tears are streaming down his face and he is rolling on the floor with laughter. "EEEEEWWW NOOO!" I yell in disgust. "Mom!" Ethan yells as he grabs the phone. "This is what Gray did last night, or should I say who Gray did last night." And he points the phone at y/n who is now snuggled up to my chest. "Ethan!!!" I shout unintentionally loud in y/n's ear. "Oh Gray, I hope you're using protection!" Mom yells worried through the phone. "Omg mom! Please!" I now scream. "We need to go, we call you back later!" I yell as I hang up.

Kauai 10.15 a.m.
Y/n POV -

I hear Grayson and Ethan laughing and yelling as I wake up. I feel I'm still snuggled up to Grayson's chest. I open my eyes and see Ethan crying with laughter. Grayson's face is bright red and he is laughing as he's hitting Ethan with a pillow. "Hi.." I say with a raspy morning voice. Both Ethan and Grayson look my way. "Hi, baby!" Grayson says as he puts both his arms around me. "I'm sorry we woke you up!" He breathes. "That's okay.." I say as I kiss his chest. "Why are you guys laughing so hysterically?" I ask. "It's nothing!" Grayson answers quickly while he gives Ethan the death stare. Ethan definitely provoked by the look on Grayson's face adds laughingly: "Our mom says hi!". - "Your mom?!" I respond in shock. "Is she here?!" I continue as I'm trying to disappear under the duvet.
