Chapter 41

New Jersey 2 p.m.
Ethan POV -

And yet again I find myself sitting in the back of the car. Grayson is driving and y/n is sitting in the passenger seat. We're on our way to lunch while Emma, mom and Cameron went shopping. Grayson is holding y/n's hand and keeps looking at her every now and then. She is glowing. Her summer freckles are perfectly placed on her nose and a healthy blush warms her face. She looks at Grayson and her energy radiates love. It's like I'm watching a romantic movie.

"E!" Gray all of a sudden says while looking at me through the rearview mirror. "We need to talk to you." It startles me and I immediately get nervous. Is he catching on to me? Does he realise I'm staring at y/n a lot? "Ookayyy?" I hesitantly say. "As you know, y/n is going back to London in a couple of days.." Grayson continues and I immediately relax. This has nothing to do with me staring at her. "Yeah.." I answer. "Well.." Grayson says as he clears his throat. "I don't want her to leave. I want her here with me..." he adds. "Yeah.. understandably." I say. "Forever.. I want her around me, forever!" Grayson continues. "Ookayyy..?!" I say again.. not sure where he is going with this. "Are we moving to London?" I ask. Grayson laughs. "No, we are not moving to London. But I asked y/n to move to L.A. " He says. "Really?!!" I ask enthusiastically. "Really" y/n says smiling. "But since I don't have a place in L.A., Grayson wanted me to move in with you two." She continues.

"I want you to think about it." Grayson quickly adds with a concerned look on his face. "Okay." I say to y/n. "That's fine by me!" I add with a smile. Grayson pulls over and looks at me. "Are you serious?" He asks. "Don't you have to think about that?" He continues. I shrug. "Not really. I like y/n and in order to keep you both alive and happy I can't take your source of life, also know as each other, away."

Grayson gets out of the car and opens my door. He jumps in the backseat next to me. He grabs me and hugs me tight. I was not expecting that. "Thank you!" He says. I look at y/n. She is smiling at me. She reaches out her hand and I grab it. "Thank you, Ethan!" She says with her soft voice.

New Jersey 2.30 p.m.
Grayson POV -

We're making a list of all the things we need to do in order to move to y/n to L.A. Lunch arrives and we all dig in.

"Okay, the visa thing is the most important thing we need to fix." I say after I swallow a bite of avocado on toast. "That's gonna take at least a couple of months." Y/n says. "I won't be able to be a couple of months apart!" I tell her. "We'll figure something out.." y/n comforts me by putting her hand on my arm. "Maybe we can visit you in London in a couple of weeks?" Ethan says. Ethan and I lock eyes. "We could fly to London to celebrate your birthday together!" I say with a big smile on my face to y/n. She leans in and kisses me on the lips. "Guys! No sex! I'm eating here!" Ethan yells through the restaurant. Y/n's face is turning red and we all start laughing.
