The lights are on in this beautiful yacht named Aphrodite and a guy walks out on the deck. "Grayson!" He says enthusiastically. "Joe!" Grayson responds as he boards the yacht. He walks up to the guy and hugs him. "Thanks for having us!" Gray says. "Always my pleasure." Joe responds. Grayson walks over to me and reaches for my hand. "Welcome aboard!" He says with a smile on his face as he helps me board the yacht. Joe introduces himself to me as a close friend of Grayson and leads us inside.
The interior of this ship is just as luxurious as the outside. Music is playing quietly and a dinner table is set for two. Candles all around the room make it look like I'm in a fairytale. Grayson pulls my chair back and smiles at me as I sit down. "Gray.." I say "This is too much! It looks absolutely stunning. I don't deserve this!" I continue. He sits down at the table and grabs my hand. "You.." he starts. "You deserve the world. There is no way I'm ever gonna be able to give you what you deserve.. but I will try my absolute best!" He says. It's a good thing I'm sitting down because this man has me soft.
I don't know how to control all the butterflies in my stomach. I feel them fluttering all up to my chest. If I open my mouth I will probably puke them out of happiness.
New Jersey 9.30 p.m. Grayson POV -
I made sure all of y/n's favourite foods were served. Pizza, burgers, sushi and tacos. We only have dessert left. Salted caramel icecream. I've really enjoyed this evening with y/n. We've laughed until we cried and I fell, if that's even possible, more in love with this woman. She's vulnerable but strong at the same time. Confident but insecure. An open book but a total mystery. And I need more. I need more of her love, more of her touch, more of her soul. There is nothing better than watching her have a good time.
"Y/n.." I say. She looks up and we lock eyes. I clear my throat. "These past couple of days have been crazy.. but I've never been so happy in my life. And I never fell so hard as you made me fall." I continue. Her eyes sparkle in the candlelight and she's holding her breath. "I'm in love with you.. I'm so madly in love with you." I say. I pull out the box with the necklace and place it on the table. I open the box and the necklace sparkles in the light. "Y/n, will you be my girlfriend?" I ask.
Her eyes are wide and with an open mouth she nods her head. I can tell she's at loss for words. "Is that a yes?" I ask with a smile. "Yes.." she whispers. I get up from the table and walk up to her. She gets up as well and puts her arms around my neck. I hug her tight and lift her from the ground. "I love you.." she whispers in my ear. Those 3 words.. I can't explain the overwhelming feeling of happiness. I wanna scream! I feel the blood rushing through my body and my mouth is getting dry. "I love you too.." I whisper back.
