Steve appeared behind a pillar to watch Thor and Rocket leave with the Aether and Mjolnir. Steve turned around and began to walk down the hall when a voice stopped him.
"Who are you?"
Steve sighed, turning around to see Frigga, Thor's mom.
"Why do you have Mjolnir?" Frigga asked, astonished that someone other than Thor could hold the hammer.
Steve dropped Mjolnir on the ground and hid the Aether behind his back. "I was just passing through, better be on my way..."
"You're from the future also, aren't you?" Frigga said.
Steve nodded. "Yeah, I am." He picked Mjolnir back up and showed Frigga the Aether. "I've come to return these."
"I see." Frigga said. "Did your mission go as planned?" Frigga asked, referring to snapping everyone back.
"Somewhat." Steve said. "What should I do with this?"
"Mjolnir? Just leave it. Thor will summon for it sooner or later." Frigga said. Steve set Mjolnir on the ground. "So you're worthy?"
"Yeah," Steve said. He reached his hand out for Frigga to shake. "I'm Steve."
"Frigga." Frigga said, shaking Steve's hand. "Are you one of the Avengers?"
"Yes. I'm Captain America."
"I see." Frigga said. "Well, I'll leave you to your job, so hurry along."
"Thank you." Steve said, making his way down the hall.
"Steve!" Frigga called.
Steve turned around. "Yeah?"
"Jane's room is that way." She said, pointing the opposite direction.
"Right." Steve said, making his way the right way this time. "Thanks again, your majesty."
Steve walked down the long hall, admiring all the architect. If it wasn't for the given situation, Steve would've really enjoyed visiting Asgard.
Steve was at the last stretch of the hall when he heard another voice behind him.
"LOKI! HOW DID YOU ESCAPE?"
Steve turned around to see Thor. "Dang it." He mumbled. He decided to play along with it.
"What do you mean Loki? I'm Captain America!" Steve said dramatically.
"Loki, no more games. The Dark Elves are attacking. You will either help or go back to the dungeons." Thor said.
"Well you see, I'd rather not." Steve said. He made a scared face and pointed behind Thor. "ELVES!" He shouted.
Thor quickly turned around and Steve ran for Jane's room, slipping inside.
"Loki, there are no elves-" Thor said, turning around to see Steve gone. "Loki? LOKI, THIS ISN'T FUNNY!" He yelled, running down the hall.
Steve sighed once he got into the room and took the Aether out. He looked over at the bed to see it was empty.
"Huh?" Steve said as something hit him on the head.
"GET LOST!" Jane yelled.
Steve took out his shield and blocked Jane from hitting him again.
"I just need to put this back." Steve said.
"What is wrong with people! This is the second time something has broken into my room in the past ten minutes!" Jane screamed.
Steve sighed and held his hand out.
"What are you doing?" Jane asked, stopping from hitting Steve.
Steve waited until Mjolnir flew through the window into his hand.
Jane's eyes widened. "Oh my gosh." She whispered.
Steve used her state of shock as an advantage. He quickly grabbed her and began to put the Aether back inside her. "This sucks..." Steve mumbled as Jane screamed.
"What the heck is wrong with you!?" Jane asked. "First a racoon comes and takes that thing out of me and now you put it back in?!"
"I'm sorry, but we just needed to borrow it to save the universe. But you have it back now." Steve said.
"Argh!" Jane screamed as she began to throw things at Steve. She threw whatever she could find. Perfumes, pillows, mirrors, anything she could pick up ended up hitting Steve's shield.
"Please. Stop." Steve said, still blocking the items. He was unable to activate the quantum suit while trying to not get hit.
"No! THOR!" Jane screamed. Not ten seconds later, Thor came running into the room.
"What's the matt- WHAT HAPPENED HERE!?" Thor asked, seeing the room in such disarray.
"He came and attacked me!" Jane said, pointing to Steve.
"Loki-" Thor began when he saw Steve hilding Mjolnir. "What-"
"See ya." Steve said, throwing the hammer at Thor and activating the quantum suit. Before Thor could react, Steve had disappeared to travel back in time.
Steve reappeared in 1970, and stopped to catch his breath. "Oh my gosh," he mumbled. "That was a close one.
