It's been a month since the date. Next week is graduation. Mom is driving me insane. I took Elena to prom, which mom cried. "Son, are you listening to me?" "Yes mom!" No mom! She has repeated herself ten times. She is planning on throwing a graduation party. In the indoor arena. Dad has himself locked away somewhere. He gave mom free reign. It is a nightmare. We are currently hanging lights all over the arena. Classes are being held outside. "Drew?" OH THANK YOU DAD! I jump off the ladder. "Yes dad?" I quickly lower my voice so mom can't hear. "Please help me! I can't take anymore!" He chuckles and nods. "Hey babe?" He called out walking away. "Ya?" She is not paying attention. "I'm taking Drew with me. I need help on a run to the hardware store." "Ok that's fine." She said turning around. "Andrew you need to pick up your suit while you are in town." I nod "I will." I walk out to the truck waiting for dad. I look back and see them making out. I laugh and shake my head.

             Four Days! Its been four days of mom being in party mode. Dad and I are at our wits ends. It's finally the day of the party. Graduation is tomorrow. I pull up to Elena's house as my phone rings. I answer it as I knock. 'Hello?' 'Hey, where are you?' I take in a deep breath. I look up and smile at Elena. I'm picking up El-' 'You need to get to that girl's house and get here.' 'Mom I-' 'Seriously Andrew this party is for you two-' 'MOM! I am at her house! We are walking out the door!' 'Do not raise your voice at me!' 'Mom I am trying to tell you we are on our way. We are getting in the truck. I got to go.' 'Hurry up!' She said hanging up.

       "Ahh.. She is so..." "Andrew she is still your mom. She is trying to cope with you graduating. You are still here baby." I look at her unamused. My phone starts ringing, I throw it on the dash as I look at the caller I.d. El sighs as she picks it up. 'Hi Sage.' 'Yes we are on our way. He is currently driving.' 'Ok I will tell him you said sorry and you love him.' I shake my head and laugh. Oh my god she is a whirlwind. 'He says he is also sorry and he loves you very much.' I just give her a look, she glares me that tells me to shut up. 'We will be there soon. I am sure it is perfect.' 'All right, bye.' She hangs up and sighs. I chuckle, "I told you... OWW!" She smacked me. "What was that for?" "Shut up! You are not helping. Just hurry up and get there."

            It's been three hours since the party started. I have been making rounds greeting, congratulating, and dancing with Elena. "Hey baby, I'm going to ask mom to dance. Will you be ok?" "Drew go. My feet are killing me. I'm going to go sit down." I lean down and kiss her. I see mom talking to some of the other chaperones. "Hey." "Hey you. Are you having fun?" She ask as she pulls me in for a hug. Most guys my age would be embarrassed if seen hugging there mom. I am not. I love my mom. I love my mom and I will show it. "Ya. You did an amazing job. You also look very beautiful tonight." Mom blushes and giggles, I smile. The other moms are smiling and shocked. She hugs me tighter. "Thank you son." "I don't see dad." "He is probably hiding." "True. Want to dance?"

            She smiles and laughs as I hold out my hand smiling. "I would love to dance with you." She takes my hand, I lead us onto the dance floor. I notice the looks from some of the guys. I see Elena sitting talking to her friends watching me smiling. "I am so proud of the man you have become. I love you Andrew." "I love you to mom." A few mintutes dad showed up. We went back and forth dancing with Elena and Mom. The girls had fun being switched. After a few dances it was finally over and people were leaving. Elena is staying here tonight so I don't have to drive her home so late.
