Chapter 23

              After we all went to dinner, we decided to go to the bar. Luckily tonight is karokee. "Mom please go up with me?" I start begging. She throws her hands up. "Ok fine, I'll go." "Yay!" Dad and Ryan are laughing at us. I've already had a few drinks, I'm feeling pretty good.

            In quickly pull mom on stage, I then chose ths song. As soon as she hears the music she starts crying. I let her start.

Sage: "In my daughter's eyes
I am a hero
I am strong and wise
And I know no fear
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I want to be
In my daughter's eyes
     
           As she is singing she turns to look at me. I see dad looking at us smiling. I can see that he was crying. I smile and nudge mom to look at dad. When she sees him she smiles.

Aaron: "In my daughter's eyes
Everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light
And the world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me
Gives me strength when I am weak
I find reason to believe
In my daughter's eyes

           Mom reaches out to take my hand. She squeezes gently as she turns back to the mic. I can see she is crying. The only noise there is, is from mom, me, and the music.

Sage: "And when she wraps her hand around my finger
How it puts a smile in my heart
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what life is all about
It's hanging on when your heart is had enough
It's giving more when you feel like giving up
I've seen the light
It's in my daughter's eyes

Aaron: "In my daughter's eyes
I can see the future
A reflection of who I am and what will be
And though she'll grow and someday leave
Maybe raise a family
When I'm gone I hope you'll see
How happy she made me
For I'll be there
In my daughter's eyes

        When I sang the last verse mom pulled me in for a hug. We can hear everyone applauding us. "I love you so much Baby girl. Never forget that." "I love you to Momma." We make our way to the stairs where we see dad waiting. I see Ryan watching us from the table. I smile at him, he smiles back and winks at me. "That was amazing you two. I'm proud of you both. I love you two." "Thank you Daddy. Love you to." "Thank you baby, love you to." We said at the same time. He kisses my cheeck then kiss mom. He leads us back to the table. I walk up to Ryan, "That was beautiful baby." I blush smiling at him. "Thank you."

         I turn to see Luke and Steven walk up stage. As soon as the song plays the girls are blushing. We all know why they picked this song.

Luke: "Baby last night was hands down
One of the best nights
That I've had no doubt
Between the bottle of wine

Then we danced in the dark under September stars in the pourin' rain

Steven: "And I know that I can't ever tell you enough
That all I need in this life is your crazy love

Luke: "Baby and that red dress brings me to my knees

        The girls look down smiling and blushing. I see the guys smiling and wink at them.
